“Then would you mind not dragging my friends? We will come with you, there’s no need to pull their arms. Please.” We were escorted outside. I almost forgot that I was a literal hostage when I felt the cold breeze. The time moves forward very quickly because it’s now night. I knew we were in the middle of nowhere because all the noises that I can remember are of those kids that I’m with and the manager’s drunken voices. But this time, I can hear the faint sound of the fireflies flying around. And I kind of love it. I love the calm. I was just hoping that the storm would not come too fast and too often. But I guess I’m bad at praying. I promised that I will be back for the kids I left in that building. I never fulfilled that promise. I woke up sweating. Which is not new to me
