IRIS’ POV:
Lucian and Jaz are teaching James how to play cards at the dining table. They are so good with him it makes me wonder why they don’t have a child of their own. I turn towards the living room to find Mason pacing back and forth near the fireplace. I admire him for a moment, I think he paces when he’s stressed. He carries himself so well, but a thought crosses my mind, how hard has this man's life been to have a whole pack depend on you at such a young age? I don’t know if I would be able to do it alone. Moment to my right catches my eye and I find Luke leaning against the wall, he gives me a reassuring smile.
