AUDREY

Daisy kept looking at me like she was trying to figure me out. She was sympathetic towards me and didn't say anything about my husband which was nice. Rather she talked about her life, telling me what's up.

Apparently according to her, she was hearing rumors about a feral Alpha who was planning a coup against Abraasis Pack. Which was weird because Shane was the Alpha of that pack and I hadn't heard anything about an intending war coming up.

Maybe it was just naysay but I decided to investigate as soon as I got back home. Soon it got late as Daisy stared at the sun going down before dropping her cup on the table as she sighed.

"It's getting late Audrey. Are you staying the night? I don't think you should go back to the pack today not after what your mate did. He r***d you last night and also left you stranded today. Going back is just like adding salt to your injury." She stated as I replied,

"If I don't go back, he would assume that I went to see a man and then I'll be the one disgraced and probably kicked out. I have to go back, and manage just until he rejects me." I said not really eager to head home as well but I knew that I had to go it.

I had no choice again.

Daisy hugged me tightly as she whispered in my ears.

"Try and visit more often okay. We will go to the city when you are free and maybe you will live a better life." She said as I smiled and nodded my head.

She led me into the woods before I shifted into a wolf, allowing Aubrey to run free. With a low howl she waved at me as I took off into the woods heading towards the direction of the pack.

The moonlight lit up the path for me as I ran the familiar path heading towards the borders when I heard something snapping from behind me halting me completely. I looked around but I couldn't see anything yet I knew instantly that I wasn't alone.

Someone else was in the woods. An unfamiliar by his scent and growl. Was he haunting me? Was he a predator?!

Fear gripped me as I took off running faster than before as I could hear him behind me chasing me, he was gaining on me which wasn't good because I was done for.

I turned around to attack but was pushed to the ground as a bigger wolf growled in my face, making me whimper as I closed my eyes waiting for the end.

This has to be Shane doing. Killing me was another way to get rid of me and he was finally taking that last step, allowing someone to go for the kill. He should have killed me himself but maybe he didn't want to do the dirty work himself. I wasn't going to let him feel satisfaction thinking I begged for my life to be spared. I was going to die with honor.

I would have fought back but I frankly didn't care anymore. I was tired of living at this point.

The wolf was still breathing heavily down my neck but aside from that, the wolf hadn't taken gone for the kill.

I opened my eyes slowly wondering what was happening as the wolf growled and I shut my eyes quickly, in fear.

Just then I heard a man groan and the unmistakable shifting of bones as the wolf shifted back to the human form and I came in face to face with a man, a very handsome man with a frown on his face.

I shifted back as well knowing fully well I was naked and he was naked onto me but that didn't seem to matter at all.

"Mate!" That was his word as my eyes widened in surprise as I tried to understand what he meant. I could not be his mate, I was mated already to Shane. How could I have another mate? Did he perhaps smell Daisy on me and got confused.

"I'm not your mate." I spoke slowly trying not to make him angry but all he did was bury his face in my neck as his hands went around me pulling me closer to his body as I blushed, my whole face turning red from embarrassment.

"Mate!" He said again, his teeth scrapping my skin where my bite mark was located connecting me to my husband Shane.

He growled again seeing the mark as he looked at me and I wanted to explain that was my mate and he got the wrong person when he swooped in and then I screamed loudly due to the sudden pain

I tried to kick him off but he was stronger than me and held me pinned down and kept in place.

My neck was severely hurting me as blood poured from the place he bit me. And just like that I could feel the connection with Shane cutting off like a scissor cutting thread and a new one being replaced as I felt exhilaration and pleasure wash through me as a new one bonded me to the man on top of me.

"Alpha." I said breathlessly as I tried to clear my head which was foggy right now and he looked down at me and whispered,

"Mate!" My wolf thrilled with happiness as it wanted me to accept it, we had a new mate and I was supposed to be happy but the clear logical part of my brain remembered that this bite was forced on me and I didn't consent to it.

"Get off me.." my words slurred as I could feel myself getting dizzy before I faded in and out of consciousness. The last thing I remembered was being pulled from the ground and carried in warm hands as my vision went dark.

Deep down I knew that I had gotten myself in a shitty situation and I wasn't sure of how I was going to get out of this now.
