PROLOGUE

Chapter 01: the truth!!!

“Third person’s POV”

David’s phone beeped. He took it out of his pocket and looked carefully on the screen. He beamed reading the message he just received from his only offspring, Zeevia, “Pa, I reached airport. Will let you know when I reach city. Love you.”

David hurried his steps and went directly to the office room designated for the main branch’s Manager. He willed to make sure all his works will be done prior to his daughter’s arrival so he could tension freely go and receive her.

He was about to twist the doorknob when he heard the familiar voices of his both employees, Sebastian and Jack, “Zeevia?” As David heard them addressing his daughter, he edged closer to the door and paid full attention to what they were discussing.

“I’m working on it. David will be finished in a sooner future,” As David perceived Jack’s words, his eyes went widely opened. He covered his mouth with his hands in disbelief.

“Working? Zeevia is on her way to here. After they both sign the papers, we will be getting nothing,” Sebastian yelled. Anger was clearly visible in his words.

“Then? What to do?” Jack asked.

“I have done my part. Just wait and see. David’s game will be over before tonight’s grand party,” Sebastian added.

David was feeling betrayed by the peoples whom he trusted the most. But what he heard next made him shiver in fear, “then Zeevia?” Jack asked.

“According to government’s law, if David dies before signing his will, it will automatically be transferred to Zeevia. We need to do something to her,” Sebastian spoke.

“What will you do to her?” Jack asked in a concerned tone of voice.

“Zeevia have a shorter period left to live,” Sebastian spoke.

“What you mean?” Jack inquired.

“I have someone who is doing the work. I have been planning this long ago. The closest friend of Zeevia at abroad is my servant. She has been doing an excellent work.”

“Tell me clearly!” Jack asked.

“There’s no need of telling it. You will get to see it by yourself,” Sebastian proudly added.

“But why you decided to harm Zeevia?” Jack asked. In his voice, there was a hint of worry towards Zeevia.

“That’s the only way,” Sebastian replied.

“What’s her fault in this? She is innocent. Just let her live,” Jack raised his voice.

Due to the shock David got from the words, he wasn’t able identify the concern Jack had towards Zeevia.

David was slumped hearing the conversation. It revealed both the father and son, were after David’s property. David had trusted both of them. He had priorly made his will and only signing was left.

According to what David had planned, he will be signing his will on tonight’s grand party. In his will he had wrote 50 percentage of share to Zeevia and the rest to both Sebastian and Jack.

He felt lucky to know their intentions before signing the will. He hurriedly contacted the company’s lawyer and asked to meet him. But knowing Zeevia and his life was in danger, he couldn’t calm his self.

He wished to ask Zeevia to dismiss the plan and go back to abroad where she was studying.

He once again took his phone and contacted his daughter, “hello, Pa,” the amusement in her voice made David to hung back. The eagerness Zeevia had to meet David was clearly visible in her tone.

“Hello Pa, already reached Maldives. I am on my way from the airport to Malé,” Zeevia added though there was no response from David’s side.

It’s when David’s eyes fell on the company’s lawyer who was sauntering near him.

“When you reach, give me a call. I will come to pick you up. Currently, I am at my office, busy with signing some important documents,” David replied in a haste and hung the call.

When the lawyer came near enough, David motioned him to follow and marched towards the room assigned for him.

As they both were successfully inside the room, David locked the room and offered a seat to the lawyer.

David cautiously explained everything to the lawyer and took legal advice from him. The lawyer wanted to report the illegal act as soon as possible but David wasn’t ready.

“I want to attend tonight’s party with my daughter and reveal the will. I want to witness Jack and Sebastian’s reaction before handing both of them directly to the police,” David disclosed his plan.

“But it will put you and your daughter’s life at risk. They may do something horrible. It would be wise if you take action as soon as possible,” the lawyer advised.

“Zeevia is on her way. She will reach city within few minutes. After receiving her, we both will get disappeared and will come out only to attend the party,” David added.

“After attending the grand party, Jack and Sebastian won’t be able to go back home. They will surely get arrested.” Despite of the nervousness David had, his lips curved into a smirk.
