CHAPTER 7 : I Want You Around

*Dohyun’s POV*
Did Yura just open Hongsik’s door for me? Why is she wearing a pajama?
Are they living together? Are they dating?
“What are you doing here?” I asked her.
“I… I am Hongsik’s neighbor, and we just had breakfast together.” She replied stutteringly.
Hongsik comes to the door, also with his pajama,
“What’s up?” he asked.
“I just want to check on you, because you left early last night. You okay?” I said.
“Yeah I’m good. Come in, you had your breakfast? Come, eat with us” He replied.
I go in and sit together with them, hmm this is awkward. I can tell that Yura feel the awkwardness too, she is sitting stiffly. Maybe I just have to break the ice.
“Did you sleep well Yura? I smirked at her
“Yeah I think so” she replied awkwardly.
“Is it because of my kiss that you can sleep well?” I teased her, I love her reaction hahaha.
“Stop it dude. You’re making her uncomfortable” Hongsik interfered.
WOW… Hongsik never defends the woman I’ve been flirting with all this time, and he defended Yura just now?
“Are you guys dating?” I asked frankly.
“N… No, we are not” she said.
“Yet. I like her, I think I want to know her better. So you better respect my choice” Hongsik said.
I don’t know why but Hongsik is acting weird. He likes Yura now? Why didn’t he say anything before?
Now after all that happened, it’s getting complicated! You guys know I don’t do complicated.
Suddenly, Yura gets up and said “I’m going to my room, I think I need to give you space”.
“No, I’m going to go too. I have somewhere to go. Thanks for the meal Hongsik” I said.
We’re getting up and heading to the door. Hongsik sent us away,
“Be careful Dohyun! See you tonight” he said.
I can’t read his mind, now he’s talking like usual. What happened to him?

*Yura’s POV*
That’s the most awkward moment, ever!
How can Hongsik said something like that in front of Dohyun? Wait…
Why am I concerning about that? Do I like Dohyun? Do I like Hongsik? Arghh… I better go mind my own business.
5.30 PM at the café.
I change my clothes in the changing room, It’s gonna be a long 12 hours.
I close my locker and found Dohyun staring at me.
“Kyaaaa! What are you doing here? Since when” I shout to him.
“I’ve been here even before you” he replied calmly.
No way, why didn’t I realize? So he saw me changing my clothes? Pervert!
“So, do you like Hongsik?” he asked my frankly, while walking towards me
“I… I don’t know, we just know each other, it’s hard to decide” I replied, walking backwards
“Ooo, so you don’t like him?” he asked me again, still walking towards me
“I don’t know. Could you stop asking me this question?” I said. We reach the wall and I can’t run away from this. He put his hands next to my face.
“Why are you so tense? Chill out!” said Dohyun.
“You’re walking towards me like this, asking me questions I can’t answer, of course I am tense!” I said.
He laughs and let me go, “You better go to work” as he smiled.

9 PM
*Dohyun’s POV*
The boys have gathered to celebrate the Christmas Eve.
“Oii Yura, bring out the beer, please” I asked Yura.
I know she’s busy but I don’t know why I just want her around.
Yura brings the beer. And Hongsik suddenly asked Yura to join the dinner. Yura refuses because she has work to do, she’s here to work.
Again, I don’t know why but I’m happy she refuses Hongsik’s invitation.
What is this? It’s a new feeling.
11.59 PM
“Guys! 1 minute to Christmas! Let’s drink our beer in one shot at midnight!” I invited everyone in the café to join us. The crowd are excited and we countdown together.
I see Hongsik is looking at Yura while smiling softly. But when I see Yura, she’s not looking at him, she is looking at the snow outside. Well I think my best friend is experiencing a one sided love.
10… 9… 8… 7… 6… 5… 4… 3… 2… 1!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
Everybody in the room drinking their beer, and laugh happily, celebrating Christmas with loved ones.
I am here with my loved ones, my boys! Couldn’t ask for more.

*Yura’s POV*
They’re so happy, I can feel their happiness from here, it’s so warm to have your loved ones right at this moment.
“Yura!” I heared someone’s calling
It’s Kaya! Awhh, right on time bestie. I hug her tight and she brings me food from her house.
I take a break, and we eat the dinner together.
“Kaya, thank you for coming, you really know when I’m lonely, are you my soulmate??” I said to her with puppy eyes.
“Oh no! Yura is flirting with me. You’re so lonely. Why don’t you call me sooner??” she asked.
“I’m working Kaya; this is my first break after 6 hours” I said.
“Insane… Okay then just eat more. Refill your energy. Tonight is so cold, be careful, don’t get sick. It’s only your second day of work” She said.
I smile, knowing that someone loves you is a good feeling.
“Right, start your story. I wanna know everything” she added.
I tell her all the story, with no filter. About Dohyun, and Hongsik, everything. Kaya listens to me excitedly,
“You naughty bish! Hahahaha now we’re talking. So, who do you choose? Do like Hongsik or Dohyun?” she asked.
“I don’t know; I need to figure that out” I said.
“Chill. Just go with the flow, follow your heart. But be careful, you are now in their circle. Be careful with your choice, it may break their 13 years’ friendship. Just saying” She added.
“Yeah. You’re right” I pondered.
“Right I have to go back to work! Kaya you can join Hongsik and the gang if you want, you are close with Hongsik, right?” I asked
“Nah, I better go home, my family’s waiting for me. Thanks for the deep talk, love you! I’m going home, Bye!” she said.
“Okay bye Kaya!” I smiled as sending her to the door. Okay now back to work.
2 AM
“Yura, I’m going home. Need to get some sleep, I’ll celebrate Christmas with my family this morning. Fighting! 4 more hours” Hongsik approaches me, and caresses my hair.
“Oh, right. See you! Be careful on your way back” I said to him with a smile.
While I’m wiping the table, someone’s whispering to my ear,
“I keep wanting you around. Is it wrong if I snatch you from Hongsik?” it’s Dohyun.
I look back and find out that he’s drunk, my heart is pounding like crazy as his face approaches mine.
