"I'll call you later, mum." Lily ended the call without getting a response from her mum and ran back into the restaurant.
She searched around frantically for Charlotte, and just when she saw her and was about to go after her, Liam blocked her path.
"Lily, are you okay?"
She tried to look over his shoulders to call out to her, but he was too tall and she was already running out of energy.
"Lily?"
Her eyes darted to his worry clouded once and she exhaled exasperatedly. "Liam," she whispered, and he raised a brow while leaning in with concern. "I am sorry, I..."
Placing his hand on her lower back, he offered her support as they walked back to their seats. "It's fine, let's get you seated."
