Returned to Graylock
Emilia gazed in horror as the wall of the tunnel became a window to a familiar scene. Caged light bulbs hung from the ceiling, leading to more wires and no way out.
Graylock.
The barely audible crunch of dirt made Emilia look as far left as she could.
“Aunt Iz.” Emilia pounded on the wall. “Molly!”
Dexter led them down the tunnel, but they didn’t seem to see her or even hear her pounding.
This was her punishment for being rude to the Hag, being transported back to Graylock.
“Jacob,” Emilia breathed. “Jacob!”
She could feel his pull next to her heart. He was afraid, but alive. And close. Very close. “Please don’t let the Pendragon find Jacob,” Emilia said, gazing at the top of the cell, hoping the Hag would hear her and take pity.
