25 Climb As Connor and Claire burst free from the brambles, Jacob silently pointed to the wall, not trusting himself to do anything but curse if he tried to speak. There were no rungs, no rocks, no rope. “Any bright ideas?” Emilia asked, turning to Jacob. “I would say we could use a simple adsurgo spell and float up there,” Connor said, his voice rising to a shout. “But somebody had to take our magic!” Jacob ran his hand over the wall. The dirt was hard and packed together. He searched for a button or lever, something they were supposed to find to make a door or, even better, a staircase to the pitch black opening at the top of the wall.
