30 On Three No one heard Jacob curse as the Pendragon jerked a chain in his left hand, dragging Rosalie onto the stage by a metal collar around her neck. “No!” Emilia screamed. Before Jacob could quiet her, Claire already had a hand over Emilia’s mouth and had shoved her down to duck below the crowd. “Friends,” the Pendragon spoke over the masses, but there was no echo as there had been with the singer. His voice didn’t come through the speakers. It reverberated through the air itself. “I hope you will forgive my interrupting the festivities. I assure you the band will not mind.” The Pendragon spoke calmly, but Jacob had a gut numbing feeling he knew why the singer didn’t mind his concert being interrupted. The band was probably dead. “I have come to make this a night to remember!”
