Somewhere in the Enchanted Realm
Maceo continued to run down the alleyway as he chased after the red-hooded man. He twisted and turned, hoping to lose his follower, but Maceo kept after him.
“I do not wish to harm you!” Maceo shouted, his voice echoing throughout the alley.
“Then why do you chase me?” a sweet, feminine voice shouted back.
Maceo frowned. “You’re hurt.”
“I can heal myself, thanks.”
Maceo swore. A witch that could heal themselves was just as deadly as a vampire that could walk in the sun. Still, even if the witch could heal themself, it wouldn’t be that simple.
