The sky over Blue Moon Pack burned with gold as the sun dipped low, casting long shadows over the training grounds. The entire pack had gathered, warriors lining the fields, young wolves whispering excitedly along the edges.
They had heard the rumors.
They had read the letters.
But nothing prepared them for the storm that descended from the black SUV that rolled through the gates that afternoon.
Two figures stepped out.
Tall. Powerful. Unmistakably dominant.
The Blackwood twins were home.
Damon’s hair was slightly longer now, tied loosely at the nape of his neck, dark strands falling over his stormy grey eyes. He radiated power with every slow, deliberate step—shoulders squared, head high, his presence commanding silence without needing to speak a word.
Ethan, broader, colder, walked beside him with a calm, calculating stare. His golden eyes scanned the crowd like a predator. Quiet. Deadly. Watching everything, but giving away nothing.
They had returned as warriors.
As alphas.
As a storm that would rewrite everything.
The pack watched in reverent silence as the twins stepped onto the field and immediately faced off against a group of senior warriors. It was a tradition—newly trained alphas proving their strength before the pack.
But this was more than tradition.
It was domination.
Their movements were fluid, almost artful—punches, strikes, and dodges executed with brutal precision. They moved in sync, back to back, like two halves of a greater whole. Damon’s strikes were sharp and unrelenting. Ethan’s blocks and sweeps were graceful but punishing. The warriors didn’t stand a chance.
When the final opponent hit the ground, Damon exhaled sharply, sweat glistening on his jaw.
Alpha Rogan stepped forward, pride burning in his eyes.
“My sons,” he said, voice booming, “have returned. They have completed the Alpha Academy’s elite training. And in three days, they will be crowned as co-Alphas of the Blue Moon Pack.”
Cheers erupted across the field.
Rogan raised a hand to silence the crowd.
“I have also invited our allied packs to the ceremony. And with the blessings of the Moon Goddess, perhaps the next Luna will reveal herself to them.”

“Have you heard the news?” Lucy nearly knocked over her chair at lunch the next day, barely able to contain herself. “They’re here! Damon and Ethan!”
Ashton groaned. “Yeah, you’ve only mentioned it twelve times in the past hour.”
Lucy grinned, fanning herself dramatically. “They’re gods now. Like actual walking, growling, muscled gods.”
Anya looked up from her book. “You’re very subtle, Lucy.”
“Oh come on, even you have to admit they’re—” Lucy paused. “You haven’t seen them yet?”
Anya shook her head. “No reason to.”
“Reason: crowning ceremony.” Lucy leaned closer, eyes wide. “We’re all invited. Every wolf in the pack.”
Ashton scoffed. “You mean every female wolf is hoping she’ll be Luna.”
“Well, duh.”
Lucy turned back to Anya. “Please come with me. I need moral support. Or someone to drag me away when I start hyperventilating.”
Anya hesitated. Crowds weren’t her thing. Ceremonies even less so. Especially if they revolved around the very two boys who had tormented her through most of her childhood.
But Lucy’s pleading eyes were hard to resist.
Anya sighed. “Fine. I’ll go.”
Lucy squealed. “Yessss!”
“I’m not wearing a dress.”
“I will literally drag you to one of the boutiques myself.”
Ashton smirked. “You know what’s funny? The twins probably don’t even remember us.”
Anya closed her book quietly, staring out the window.
She hoped that was true.
She really did.
