Chapter 1 : First impressions

215 Words
Luna, 20, tightened the strap of her bag and stepped into Brightline Marketing. Her first real job. Big city. Big dreams. She wanted to prove she wasn’t just smart, she was capable. The moment she entered the office, her eyes landed on Liam Storm. Sharp suit. Perfect hair. That confident smirk that made her want to roll her eyes and punch him at the same time. “Luna?” Liam said smoothly, walking toward her. “I’ve heard about you. Ready to shake things up?” “Depends,” Luna said, smirking a little. “Do you actually like new ideas… or just think you invented them?” He laughed. “Touché. I like a challenge.” The rest of the team gathered for the morning meeting. Every idea Luna suggested, Liam commented on—smart, annoying, and just a little mocking. “Interesting angle,” he said. “But maybe not… profitable enough. Numbers don’t lie.” “And passion doesn’t hurt,” Luna shot back. By the end of the day, their boss announced they would work together on a major client project. Liam leaned close. “Looks like we’ll be seeing a lot of each other. Brace yourself.” Luna squared her shoulders. “I play to win.” And sparks flew.
