I am back in the kitchen now, tonight we are having Chilli con carne with rice and nachos with salsa, guacamole, sour cream and cheese.
Mrs Jones and I have been batch cooking for the past 2 weeks, so when we made chilli we made enough batches for the meal that evening and several more batches.
This chilli had been frozen but is now defrosting on the side ready to be warmed through and served. I’m just putting the rice on to cook when Andrew comes in.
He comes straight to me, holds my face in his huge yet gentle hands and kisses me tenderly “I missed you so much Anna, I just needed a moment alone with you.”
It does feel like we get tiny fleeting moments together and nothing more. “I missed you too, I am going to miss you so much when you have to go too. When do you have to leave?”
