CHAPTER SIXTEEN Emily woke the next morning to find the other side of the bed empty. Her initial panic that Daniel had left her during the night was quelled when she heard the sound of hammering coming from downstairs. He must have woken early to keep his promise of working on the bar. Emily dressed and went to fetch Chantelle for breakfast.
