“When did you get back from Taiwan?” Prim asked as she walked downstairs with Jasmine towards a private room at the engagement venue.
“Last week. I did not believe it when I heard the wedding did not push through.”

She smiled tightly and said nothing.
“I know aunt was a handful.” Jasmine said, referring to Julian’s mother. “But the rest of us really liked you.”
