EGAN Egan woke up with a start and looked around in confusion. He had been dreaming of his mother. “Primrose.” He called, when he noticed she was not beside him. There was no response. He frowned and stood up. Where could she have gone so early in the morning? He checked the bathroom and small kitchenette in their cabin, but she was in neither place. Maybe she was hungry and had gone out to eat. He got dressed, brushed his teeth, and stepped out. He climbed down to the ground deck and saw only a few people were up and about.
