Egan found his legs pulling him to Primrose. As he neared her, everyone took one look at him and melted away, even her cousin. She looked around her in confusion, then turned her emerald eyes to him. His heart stopped, and he forgot all he had wanted to say. She had never looked at him this way before. Her eyes were not adoring, or scared or curious.
