He smiled a little when he heard the cars stop some distance away. She was back.
He sat still on the bed, and soon he heard her steps on the wooden staircase, reverberating round the cabin.
He could clearly recognize her footsteps from anyone else’s now. She had a flighty gait but leaned heavily on her right leg every third step.
He shook his head. He was becoming obsessed with this girl. And Egan Alexakis' obsession was never a good thing.
She walked in, and as was becoming usual, his heart stopped. But she looked really furious.
“I thought you did not want to return home.” He said, expecting her to say something snappish, and she did.
“I didn’t.”
He liked this woman. He was struggling with laughter as he watched her walk towards the balcony.
She looked like she was scared
