Chapter 7 - Red moon night

HOPE

We reached the abandoned building, I turned around to open the door and get down but I felt his hand over my waist, I felt him pull me close to him with his face just an inch away from mine.

"Hope! My love, Please Just one time".

I felt his soft lips on mine. It was mind-blowing, he held my waist with one hand and slid another into my hair. "Hope...", he mumbled while kissing me. Even the sound of his voice sent butterflies into my stomach. 

" Kiss me back," he said biting my lower lip, demanding to open my mouth for his tongue to enter. My head felt dizzy, my body demanded his touch, I opened my mouth allowing him to get in. 

I started to kiss him back, matching his pace, he tasted like strawberry jam, He pulled me into his lap, running his fingers on my back, I felt him nibble in the nook of my neck, I felt him lick my marking spot.

" ammmm " I moaned, I felt the pleasure in all points of my body, his hands were moving up to my neck pulling me close while kissing me passionately.

Then it hit me, " No, stop! you said you will give me time" I squeaked. He paused, I could feel his disappointment. "OK," he said losing his grip around me waiting for me to get off.

" Sam, it's really difficult for me, you have been nothing but mean to me all my life and suddenly I realize that we are mates.." I said about to burst with tears, he held my chin with his fingers making me look into his eyes, " let's just get over this my love, and then I will tell you how much you mean to me" and gave a peck on my lips.

FIGHTING GROUND

As planned earlier Ramona was going to be on the tallest tree around the building, as the building was in the jungle and was surrounded by a lot of huge and tall trees, Lucas was going to be with her guarding around in case of emergency.

Max, Cara, and Alex were supposed to enter from the rear end of the building, I and Sam were supposed to take the front entrance and William, Jasper and Adam to enter in from the roof above.

 As soon as we entered the building, I felt a tingle on my back. Sam entered first, I was hiding behind the wall giving him the cover. He slowly moved inside and I followed him, with my gun pointing out front. 

We all searched the entire building, inspected every corner but found nothing. We gathered near the front wall, where the markings were drawn.

" Well, this is super disappointing" Max cried.

" I know, I thought that we would get some action tonight," Cara said making weird gestures, Sam chuckled on her statement. I was looking at the circle on the wall, trying to make sense of what was written.

Sam walked up to my side and stood there. The circle was drawn in white paint but the text was written in blood.

" It's Latin," I said to Sam without even looking at him " I don't understand it" I sighed.

" Well, I don't blame you, it's Latin after all " Sam joked.

" No silly!! I understand the language, I learned it before the mission as I knew it would be necessary, I saw it in the pictures you gave us of this place" I turned towards him and said, "I don't understand the message".

He looked pretty surprised and to be honest very cute. " You know I have the ability of super-fast learning and photographic memory," I said trying to clear his confusion.

" Told you, she is no ordinary girl" Jasper interfered and I could not control but chuckle on his statement. " Well, come here everyone," I said taking out a pen and a small diary from my waistband. I wrote down the translated text and handed it over to Sam to read it out loud to everyone.

" On the very day when the love of the alpha and the angel blooms, on the blue moon when the star shines, let the newborn revive, trust the red moon and let the fallen angel and the alpha combine" he read it looked up to me.

" It is interesting," said Cara, making everyone look at her.," And utter bullshit" I replied in frustration.

" maybe it's coded and you cannot figure it out", said sam looking at me curiously.

" You, doubt me so much", I said turning towards him and continued " yes obviously it is coded, all prophecies are, but this is not making any sense at all, I tried every permutation and combination to solve it, I cannot find anything".

" What do you think, whose blood is used to write these," said William and moved close to the wall trying to smell it, and then it hit me " William you are a genius" I shouted, everyone, turned towards me, giving me a confused look. I went close to the wall and scraped off the first word with my little finger, I took it in my mouth to taste it, I did the same thing with all the words written there and everyone stood there looking at me like I had gone mad.

" I was right, not the entire thing is written in the same blood," I said and took the pen and the diary from Sam and wrote down something in the diary, I rejoiced in happiness looking up to see everyone's confused expression. " let me explain," I said " the werewolf blood and vampire blood gives two different prophecies I guess... "I was looking at the diary " ... human blood is also used here but it tends to be just the useless filler words I guess" I concluded.

" The Ghost killings," Sam said with anger in his voice. " they killed my people to write some stupid text" his eyes were red with anger. " I guess they were some kind of sacrifices," jasper said trying to make sense.

"I don't give a f**k!! " Sam roared " My people did not deserve to die for this" he was shivering with anger, I wanted to calm him down but did not know what to do, I went near him and stood there, he turned towards me and said," what does it read".

" Well, the first one says 'On the day of the blue moon when the star shines, the fallen angel and the alpha combine' and the second part says the love of the Alpha and the angel blooms, let the light holder revive and trust the red moon' " I said looking up to Sam.

" This seems to interesting," said max trying to break the silence. " no!!" I hear jasper's worried tone. We all turned towards him " what is interesting is that today is Red moon night" he Gasped.

" It can be any red moon night" Cara tried to relax every one but it was not working.

"I am not letting anything harm you all..." Sam whispered " I am not letting any of my people die anymore" he shouted, anger visible in his tone but before I or anyone else could say anything we heard Lucas on our Bluetooth speakers" Hope! we have a problem... I could feel everyone tense " We have 15 rouges approaching your direction" he screamed.

" now 12," ramona said.

" they are not werewolves," said William peeking through the broken window," they are moonwalkers " he exclaimed.

" s**t," said Cara.

we all were divided into groups as pre strategized and moved towards our target. " they are not like usual moonwalkers" sam shouted " they are smaller and faster" he said before breaking the jaw of one of the moonwalker, while I jumped and sliced my sword through one who was standing right next to him.

 Jasper shot one standing on the roof, I moved towards Cara who was fighting with one walker and killed the one approaching her by putting my sword through his eyes, being distracted I did not notice one of the moonwalkers approaching me from behind.

" Hope!!" I heard Sam scream, the moonwalker tackled me down and was standing above me, but before he could take a bite out of my face, I pressed the spot beneath his ear making him fall on the ground, Sam came running towards me after I shot a bullet through his brain and pulled me into a hug.

" Hope, Don't ever dare to scare me like that" before I could respond Jasper interrupted saying," I think we got rid of all of them", he was panting for his breath and made Sam move out of the hug.

"Without shifting, woohoo!!" Max exclaimed.

" spoke too soon, Devil" we all heard Ramona.

" They just keep coming Alpha" Lucas growled.

" everybody, Shift!!" Sam roared. I picked up my sword and jumped up to the roof, I sliced off the head of an approaching walker, before I could relax I heard another one coming from behind, I bent down and elbowed his knees making him fall, I jumped over him and pierced my sword through his heart, I looked down to see one walker approaching Jasper, I took out my pistol and shot him, Jasper looked up at me and then continued to run forward towards another walker, I could see my people getting tired.

 " where are they coming from" ramona question practically screaming into the earphones, " they might be weaker than normal walkers but their numbers are proving really disadvantageous to us" William shouted back.

"I am out of bullets, I am coming down to join you ", Ramona jumped off the tree, shifting midway. I was about to shoot the walker just behind Ramona when I heard a voice behind me " No my child, I won't bother doing that, don't waste your time here, you have a much larger purpose to fulfill", before I could turn around i was floating on above the ground engulfed in black smoke around me, the smoke was keeping me off the ground, I could feel the dark aura of the person behind me. I felt him closing the distance between us when I shouted " SAM!!", I was subconsciously calling out for my mate.

I saw Sam turn around and look at me in horror, he roared running towards me, I felt helpless and I hated that feeling, Sam took a jump towards me but was forced down onto the ground by an invisible force, I don't know how but his body shifted to his human form, he was sitting on the ground with his head facing down and his hands locked behind, I looked around to see everyone in the same position. 

The unknown figure held my ponytail and made me look up in the sky," just two minutes my child, we just need your blood to make everything right" he whispered into my ear. I felt a sharp pain in my palm, he made a cut on my palm with a knife making me bleed.

"Let her go, you bastard " I heard Sam scream.

" Be thank full I am in no mood to kill anyone otherwise he would have been the first one to die" the dark figure let out a laugh, I wanted to kill him. suddenly I felt a huge release of energy from my body and involuntary I left out a scream' " that's it, my child, now you are free, few more days and you will realize what you can be" he said and that made me shiver.

" Rest my child, I am going to come back to get you on the blue blood moon eclipse, I will get you, my moon child," he said in a dead tone, " you will then realize what are you capable of my precious gift," he said before disappearing, they all vanished.

Sam ran towards me and caught me from falling on the ground.

"I got you my love", he said kissing my forehead. He wrapped me in his arms when everyone else gathered around us. I felt my wolf growl, and I tightened my grip on Sam. 

He looked up and asked" Is anyone else hurt", " Ramona is" William replied, he was carrying her in his arms bridal style and she was unconscious probably, I tried to get up to see her but was too weak to do so. 

Sam tightened his grip around me and whispered " Don't worry, she is my responsibility too" he picked me up bridal style turning towards Jasper and said " take her to the pack hospital... " he paused to screen everyone and said "... ALL OF YOU, I WANT YOU TO GO AND GET CHECKED FOR ANY FORM OF INJURY NOW" I could feel both a force of command and concern in his tone. " yes Alpha" Jasper obeyed looking at me in concern. " I will bring her to the pack hospital, now hurry up I don't want any other consequences," he said understanding the concern in his look. 

He is an amazing Alpha and a great leader, I had a sudden feeling of pride grow in my chest. He placed me down, near the ranger, walked to the back door, took out a basketball short and wore it, he came near me and hugged me for 5 long minutes. I could feel the worry in his touch, he pulled out of the hug and made me look up to him with his finger under my chin, " if something would have happened to you, I don't know what I would have done" he said in a soft voice, his eyes were tearful. 

"Sam," I said, "I think something just came alive inside me", he looked confused.

"Your wolf" he sighed, " sam .." before I could say anything else I fainted in his arms.
