“Damn it—I slept off.”
That was the first set of words I emitted from my lips the minute I pushed my eyes open, only to be welcomed by the sun rays emitting from the window.
A yawn escaped my lips. I sat on the bed as realization hit me.
I was still in the clothes that were sent in by Carpo.
We were supposed to go out for dinner. He didn’t show up.
He stood me up, and not even a text came from him.
I waited all day for him, even had to text him, yet there was no response.
He promised to take me out. What suddenly happened that he changed his mind without letting me know?
Several messages were sent to him by me, and yet he responded to none.
I kept wondering what happened.
I was more devastatingly worried about what might have happened to him.
This is so unlike him.
