The next day started out much the same. After my so-called breakfast, I was taken out behind the barn again. The cable was locked once more to the barn. There was a shovel and a pick axe laying in the dirt waiting for me.
“You’d better be done by noon, or you’ll face a similar, but more painful day than yesterday,” Adam told me. “The first time we see you not working, I’ll put those clamps back on your n*****s.
