Chapter Twenty-Three Several hours later, Mallory and Baxter were eating an impromptu picnic lunch on a park bench when they got the information they’d been waiting for. Hollis had finally left the hotel. Mallory showed Baxter the text message. “Thank God for that,” he said, “my bum’s going numb sitting here.” Mallory couldn’t help but smirk. They had been sitting around for a while.
