Sister Mary Dominique stood just where she"d stood yesterday and the day before that, and the day before that, when the police officers had visited the house halfway down the street. She could see more police officers today, though, like yesterday, these two officers made no attempt to enter the house. Sister Mary knew they were police officers. Who else would sit for hours on end in a car, drinking tea or coffee from a flask occasionally, and trying not to look obvious each time the door of the house opened?
