Getting out of Paris was not as bad as I envisioned. We took the underground, metro, and the RER, a sort of hybrid between local train and metro, until we reached the outskirts of the town of Melun. We then walked to the forest of Fontainebleau and shifted. His animal was magnificent; a huge brown bear with lush fur. I've only heard of bear shifters but never seen one in my life. Even if he looked powerful, I knew he wouldn't manage the grueling distance. To get to Camille's place, we had nearly 100 miles to go. The plan was to run half of that, which would take us a day anyway, and then catch a train in a remote town the next day. The first half of the journey was actually fun.
