His eyes were like sapphire. His dark hair braided back hanging past his shoulders but not as long as my father’s. His physical body shifted into a creature I’d only heard stories about. The spirits of Jaguars use to protect the Island of Gail as they would search for the vessel of their goddess, Parvati, the goddess of love and power. Gail once was the island where humans and Gods lived in harmony until Parvati stopped showing up. The Jaguars lost their way and instead of protecting the humans, they began to kill them. Most of them were sent back to the spirit world except a couple, that’s when my great-great-grandfather, Horus, put an end to all of it. He was asked to guard the island and ended up mating with a woman that survived the m******e. His brother, Anubis, was in charge of the death toll that had taken place.
This man that stood outside though, as he shifted the night air grew colder. His very being was death and menacing, he is going to kill us all. The fear that I feel in my soul is completely different from what I’ve felt in my time here. I watched as he slowly stalked Christoph as he helped Acheron up off of the ground. I pulled my legs to my chest and pressed up against the wall as far back as I could. His growls echoed in my head making my ears ring and Christoph lunged at him. The jaguar quickly dodged and bit him in the neck taking a chunk clean off. Christoph fell to his knees as a black web of veins formed along his neck, but he got back to his feet just as Acheron went at the man with a bit more caution. I could hear another battle happening outside, that’s when I remembered that Dion was still out there. Who else is here? Are there more Jaguars? Too much was happening and my wounds were still bleeding too much. I start to feel light-headed, I can’t pass out right now. My life is in even more danger than with the centaurs. I thought I was ready to die though. That was my last thought as everything went dark.
When I wake again I find myself connected to an endless amount of tubes and wires. The room I am in is white and I lay in a bed soft as clouds. Then, I remember everything my heart starts to race. Where am I now? The machines start to go off to alert nurses that I’m having palpitations. “Princess, please calm down. You are safe here. You're home.” That voice, the man from the fight, I start to relax gradually as the nurses come in. I try to turn my head to see his face but my head feels so heavy. I feel so exhausted, I’m going to pass out again? I’m so hopeless.
