Damon stood on the front porch of his pack house, his dutiful Luna and Beta at his sides. Butterflies were raging in his stomach and no matter what he did he could not hide the joy that was in his eyes when the caravan of black SUV's rolled up. His Luna Amy gripped his hand trying her best to pull him back from whatever fantasies were going through his head. Since the moment he received the phone call call that Keelin was coming back to her old pack for a visit he closed off their link. Onyx and Jace stepped out of the vehicle first followed by Keelin, the moment Damon's eyes found her and her sweet scent hit his nose he no longer remembered his mate at his side. The world around Damon melted away, he took a step forward forgetting the threat from Onyx.  "Keelin I mi-" Damon's words were cut off when Onyx's hand gripped tight around his throat. Beta Markus was at his alphas side in seconds but hesitated at Jace's voice. "Beta dont forget he is your king, lay a hand on him and you will be signing off on your death. I will see to it personally." Jace's voice was laced with venom, he had always been loyal to his king. "Markus, Jace stand aside." The calm in Keelin's voice was almost chilling, Luna Amy felt a cold chill run down her spine. She herd the stories of Keelin taking down her uncle, she knows she is the daughter of the moon goddess and demon king. Amy was torn between her loyalty to her mate and loyalty to her king and queen. Before she knew it her feet betrayed her and she reached her mate and king at the same time Keelin did. "What did I tell you before? Do you think just because time has passed I forgot what I said to you all those years ago?" Onyx sneered in Damon's face, his claws extending slowly poking into the soft skin of his neck. Once the smell of blood hit Luna Amy's nose she was sent into a frenzy, the primal instinct to protect her mate took over and she blacked out.  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "What happened?" Amy sat up rubbing her head. "Luna you are in the infirmary" An older woman informed her. "Why?" "I will call the Queen, she wanted to speak with you when you woke up." Within moments the door swung open and Keelin strode in eyes locked onto Amy's light blue ones, Amy went to sit up but Keelin stopped her by raising her hand. "Do you remember what happened?" Her voice was soft but full of authority. "No." Amy's voice was small. "You attacked my mate Onyx, your King." Once the words left her lips Amy's heart was beating out of control. She knows what happens when you attack a member of the royal family, you die. "Plea-" She was cut off again by Keelin holding up a hand. "You did no damage so this ONE time you were lucky enough to receive a pass." "Oh thank you so much your majesty!!" Amy had tears falling from her eyes. "Do not thank me, but let us make one thing clear. I know Damon still has feelings for me" Amy's body tensed once again. "I dont know why either, but know this. I have no feelings for him, not even as a friend any longer. I have been here a few hours and I have seen nothing but his utter disrespect towards you. I feel for you and I know my being here is going to make things much more difficult for you. But I am not here for Damon, I am here to find my daughter and only that. Is that clear?" Keelin's eyes never left Amy's as she spoke. "Crystal." Keelin exited the room leaving Amy to think over the things she had said. Maybe she isnt so bad. Her wolf thought aloud, but her human side could never agree. She was torn between her wolf's loyalty and her humans jealousy.  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Keelin and Onyx sat on her once favorite spot sharing a silent moment. "We will find her" Onyx said as he stroked her hair. "I know, I can feel she is alive but I can also feel her fear. Our little girl is scared for her life, and there is nothing we can do to soothe her." Tears fell silently from her eyes.  Onyx said nothing but continued to rub her back and hair in attempt to soothe her intense feelings. The two sat on the hill and watched the sun fall behind the trees like she had done growing up.
