The Unthinkable Mate

Chapter Eight The shower

A few weeks past as Kate and James finished getting the baby’s room done and the house ready for their new arrival.

Kate and James headed to Kate’s doctor's appointment. “I really hope we get to find out what the gender of the little guy is today.” Kate said to James. “I hope so too, I really hope it’s a boy.” James said with a huge smile. Kate smiled back, “I would like to have a little girl.” James laughed. “Little girls are a handful, boys are easy.” Kate rolled her eyes. “It doesn’t matter what the gender is. I’ll be happy with both.” Kate got a little snobby. “Kate chill, I was just joking.” James was getting irritated with Kate’s hormones lately.

They walked into the clinic, Kate sat down while James went and cheeked her in. A few minutes past when a nurse came out. “Katelynn Watson” the nurse said. Kate and James got up and followed her to a small room. “Please take a seat on the table, Ms. Watson and the doctor will be in with you shortly.” A few seconds passed when the door opened. Doctor Parker walked in. “Hello Kate, how have you been feeling?” She asked as she walked into the room. She sat down in the chair next to the table. “I’ve been feeling okay, I’ve been having horrible morning sickness and pain in my stomach.” Kate told doctor Parker. “Okay Kate, let’s check you out and see what’s going on. I want to do an ultrasound to see how the pup is growing and maybe see what you're having if you would like to know. Dr. Parker said to Kate.

Kate and James looked at each other then Kate said “we would love to know what we’re having, but can you write it on a piece of paper and put it in an envelope?” James explained, “my mother wants to throw us a gender reveal party and asked when we found out to have you write it down instead of telling us.” Dr Parker smiled. “ Of course I can do that.” She then moved on to her exam. “Kate, everything seams great. I’m going to have you get up and follow me to our ultrasound room. Kate and James got up and followed her into the other room.

Kate laid down on the table and pulled up her shirt. Dr Parker then took the ultrasound gel and put on Kate’s stomach. She then took the wand and placed it on Kate’s stomach, she moved it all around until she found the baby. She looked at Kate and James and pointed at the monitor. “Do you see there is one of the baby’s heart beats” then she pointed to another spot, “and here is the other heart beat.” Doctor Parker said with a smile. James and Kate looked at her confused. “You are having twins.” Dr parked explained.

Kate started to cry. She wasn’t sure if they were happy tears or sad tears at that moment. All she knew was she wasn’t ready to have one baby, let alone two babies. James sat down next to her and held her hand. “It will be alright, Kate, we can do this.” James said to Kate, trying to cheer her up. Every thing was changing really fast and Kate was scared.

Dr Parker finished and printed off pictures for them to take with them. They walked out and headed to Luna's to show her the picture and give her the envelope that Dr Parker gave them with the gender on it.

As they drove to Luna’s. Kate looked at James. “I’m really nervous about having twins.” Kate explained. James smiled. “I’m nervous too. But we will be great parents to both of our little ones.” He said with a huge smile. Kate smiled and sat back in her seat. She looked out the window until they got to Luna’s house. James walked around and helped her out. They walked down the driveway to the porch. Luna was sitting outside on the porch with Jake and Lizzy.

“Hi Kate” Lizzy said as Kate walked up to them. “Hi Lizzy.” Kate said as she sat down next to Lizzy. “You look exhausted, Kate, are you feeling okay?” Luna asked Kate. “I’m fine, these babies are kicking the crap out of my side right now.” Kate said without thinking. Everyone stop and looked at Kate. “What do you mean baby’s?” Jake asked. James looked at Jake. “Where having twins.” Luna got up and gave James and Kate a big hug. James smiled and handed Luna the envelope. “What’s this? Luna asked.

“It’s the gender of the babies you asked for. We also brought pictures to show you.” James said to Luna. “I would love to see the little ones.” Luna expressed.

They sat down and talked and showed off the picture of the babies. “Are you guys wanting to stay for dinner” Luna asked them. “Kate looked at James, “I would like to go home, I’m exhausted and would like to go take a long hot bath for a bit before bed.” James smiled “no mom we’re actually going to get going. It’s been a long day, and I’m sure Kate is tired.” Luna smiled a small smile. “Ok dear, I will see you guys in a few days for the shower.” James and Kate said their goodbyes and walked out the door.

They walked to the truck, when they reach it James walked her to the door he opened it and give her a boost in. James walked around and got in. Kate looked at him with a smile. “What are you smiling about?” James asked. “Nothing, I just adore you.” Kate explained. “Your sweet Kate. I absolutely adore you too.” James said. Kate changed the subject, “You know we need to get another vehicle. Here soon we will have the baby’s and not enough room in this truck for the four of us.”

James smiled and continued driving home. When they got home, James got out and helped Kate get out of the truck. When they walked into the house, Kate walked away as she walked to the master bathroom she yelled “I’m going and taking that bath now, if you need me.” She walked into the bathroom, turned the tub faucet on and started to fill the tub. She walked to the bathroom vanity and took off all the jewelry she had on. Furthermore, she took off all her clothes and walked back to the tub, She turned off the water and climbed into the tub. She sat down in the nice warm water and laid back to relax.

She was starting to dose off when James walked in. He undressed himself and climbed in with her. He had her sit forward as he slid in behind her, He let her lay back into his chest. He held her as she started to fall back asleep. They laid there in the tub for a while before James woke her up to get her out of the tub.

“Kate, it’s time to wake up. You’ve been in here for a while, my love.” James said as he woke Kate up. Kate woke up and climbed out of the tub, she grabbed a towel and r***d it around her. James got out and did the same. He walked into the room, where Kate was throwing on one of his t-shirts and A pair of her panties. She then crawled into bed and fell back asleep. James got dressed and climbed in next to her. He cuddled up with her and gave her a soft kiss on her forehead.

A few days passed, and it was the day of the shower. Kate and James were excited about today. Luna had decided to make the baby shower a gender reveal shower. No one other than her, Lizzy and Jake know what they are having. As they finished getting everything ready, Kate and James headed to Luna's for the party.

Kate and James walked out the door, and headed to the truck. James helped Kate back into the truck. They drove off down the road. They only lived about five miles down the road from Luna’s. By the time they got to Luna’s the hole pack was there, including jasmine. James parked the truck and walked over to Kate. He opened the door and helped her back out. They walked to the back of the house, where everyone was at. As they turned the corner, everyone yelled at once “congratulations”. Kate stopped and smiled. She stood there for a minute before she walked over to everyone.

“Thank you everyone.” She walked over to Luna and gave her a big hug, “everything turned out beautiful. Thank you so much for doing this, Luna. Luna smiled, “your very welcome darling.” James and Kate mingled for a bit. “Can everyone please find their seats” Lizzy asked, no one was paying attention to her “HELLO EVERYONE TAKE A SEAT.” Lizzy yelled. Everyone stopped and took their seats. “Okay Kate and James please come sit up here in front of everyone. We are going to open gifts before we find out the gender of the twins.”

Kate and James walked up to Lizzy and sat down at the table in front. Lizzy handed them gift after gift. They got all kinds of different things from different colored clothes for both a girl and a boy to toys and baby equipment. Kate was overjoyed. Kate stood up and walked up to everyone and thanked each person, personally.

“Okay everyone, we are going to move on to the gender reveal.” Everyone got up and followed Lizzy over toward the woods. As they got closer, Kate noticed there was a paint can hung from a tree. There was also a big box next to it. When everyone was stands by the tree. Lizzy walked up to James, “Here you go James” Lizzy said to James as she handed him a shoot gun. “Do you see that paint can hanging from the tree?” Lizzy asked James. “Yes, I see it.” James said. “Okay, now I want you to shoot it. What ever color is in it is one of the genders of your children.” James pointed the gun and shot the paint can. After he shot the can, he pointed the gun toward the ground and sat it down. When he looked up, there was blue paint dripping out of it. James was so excited.

“Now Kate, the box is for you. We didn’t think giving you a gun pregnant was a good idea.” Everyone around them started to laugh, even Kate. “Now I want you to take this ribbon and pull.” Kate walked up to the box’s and took the ribbon. She wrapped her hand around the ribbon and pulled. When the box opened, there were two black balloons. Lizzy handed her a needle. Kate walked up to the balloons and popped them. In each balloon there was pink and blue confetti in them.

In the bottom of the box there was a color smoke stick. Kate took the stick out of the box and handed it to Lizzy. She sat it on a small wooden table next to them and handed Kate a lighter. Kate lit the fuse and watched as pink smoke appeared. Kate was so excited, she started to cry.

James walked up to Kate and wrapped her in his arms. “A girl and a boy, we both got what we wanted.” James said to Kate. “Everything is perfect.” Kate said as she looked up at James. “I love you.” James said as he leaned down and kissed Kate. As they pulled away, Kate looked at James, “I love you too.” They when off and mingled a little more, played some shower games. As the evening came to an end, Jake and James loaded the truck up, as Kate said her goodbyes to everyone. After loading the truck, James and Jake walked up to Kate. James said his goodbyes, and they walked off to the truck and headed home.

Jake and Lizzy followed behind, so Jake could help unload the truck with James. When they got home, Kate and Lizzy walked inside while the guys brought everything inside the house. After they were done, Lizzy and Jake left. Kate walked upstairs and went to bed.

James followed behind. When he crawled into bed, Kate started being pushy. She wanted him intimately. “James” Kate said. “I really want you right now” she started to kiss him up and down his chest and neck, back up to his lips. James leaned over and kissed her back he put his hand on her hip then moved it down in between her legs, he pushed her panties out of the way and moved his fingers inside her. He moved them in and out as she moaned he moved faster and harder until right before she finished he stripped them both and climbed on top of her.

James thrust harder and faster until Kate was screaming, Kate started to dig her nails into James back as she came even closer to finishing, James kept going as he started to moan he moved faster, he thrust into Kate harder and harder until they both were moaning and screaming with relief. After they both finished, James got off of Kate and pulled her into a cuddle. Kate looked at James and gave him a smile “I absolutely love you James” James smiled back “I love you too Kate, now go to sleep.”

The next morning, Kate and James got up, did their normally morning routine. Then went and put everything from the shower in the baby’s room. As they finished, Kate went to walk downstairs when all of a sudden her water broke.
