Chapter Six The Ceremony

As the moon rose, Kate started to walk down the aisle. She was so nervous, but she knew if she didn’t go through with it, it could end up hurting her and the man she was falling in love with. As soon as she saw James, she completely forgot about being nervous. She kept her eyes on him until she met him at the altar. As the only living elder wolf, Luna officiated the ceremony.

Luna looks at James and Kate, please put out a hand. Luna then took a long ribbon with flowers woven into it around their hands and had them holed a white candle in the other.

“Now James repeat after me, I pledge to honor you and yours above all others, to share in blessings and burdens, to be your advocate and champion, to be your comfort, your sanctuary, and as long as we both shall live, to be your family.” James repeated, “now Kate, repeat after me.” Luna than repeats what she had James say. Kate repeated. Luna looked at them both, “I now pronounce you man and wife. James, you may kiss your mate. James grabs Kate by her waist pulling her closer to him and kisses her lips like he was never going to see her again.

They walked down the aisle together, then went through a small trail to a smaller clearing in the woods. Kate was surprised to see that there was a beautiful wooden gazebo in the middle of the clearing. In the middle of it was a bed beautiful made, with flowers everywhere around it. It wasn’t like any regular gazebo, it had half walls going up it for some privacy.

James walked Kate over to the bed, laying her down on it, he takes his hand and slowly unzips the back of her dress as he is kissing her. He slowly pulls down her dress, revealing her naked body. As he is still kissing her he slowly moves down her body, down to her underwear taking them off continuing to kiss her he moves down in between her legs. Kate began to moan, grabbing Jame's head pushing it tighter in between her legs.

He stops and stands up and starts to take his clothes off he lays down on top of her kissing her again, he slowly sticks his staff into her moving nice and slow in and out of her. The more she moaned, the faster he thrust into her, he thrust harder and harder until she was trembling underneath him, screaming with joy. She didn’t even realize that the pack was standing around them in the tree line watching. James grabs Kate at the waist, picks her up and sets her on his lap, so she can take control now. As the moon rose higher, they got closer and closer to finishing. Right before the moon hit its eight pack, James and Kate were both moaning and screaming with joy, kissing and thrusting until they both exploded.

Kate climbs off of James and lays down next to him. They finished right before the moon hit. A few mins later they got up and redress and walked back to the big clearing where they originally were at. When they got back everyone was standing around a huge bonfire partying. When Kate saw jasmine, she walked up to her and gave her a big hug.

“Congratulations Kate, I’m really happy for you, now will you tell me why you had to marry James?” Jasmine asked. Before she could Luna walked up “I’ll answer your question, in order for our pack to be able to turn at will like you and Kate we have to perform this ritual, every alpha has to perform the ritual on a full moon before their twenty-eight birthday. If not, we end up having to turn every full moon.” Kate and jasmine look at Luna in confusion, “so in order for you guys to not turn on a full moon we had to marry.” Kate said. Luna replayed“ yes, when two alpha marry in front of their packs as the packs are there witnesses they end up taking the same ability’s as their alphas. So both packs have the ability’s that each pack has.”

“If you have to do this ritual, than how can Kate and I turn when we want to?” Jasmine asked. “Because you and your sister come from another pack in town. As we are the dark moon pack you guys come from the moon stone pack, your father was their alpha. No one can be the alphas in any pack unless they are born and share the same blood as the alpha. Since you Kate married James, you are the new alpha of the moon stone pack. Only one of you two could be alpha, since Kate married first she becomes alpha. With the wedding, we now don’t need to do the ritual ever again. We all now share the ability to turn at will. But there is something I need to tell you and James.” Luna said to Kate.

Kate looks at Luna and told her “I’ll go find James, and we can talk” Kate walked away to find James. She walked over toward a small group of guys, James was standing there talking to Jacob and a couple other wolves she hasn’t met yet. “James, your mother wants to talk to us, she asked me to come find you.” James smiled and followed Kate to Luna.

As they reached Luna, she wasn’t alone. “James, Kate please sit we need to talk, but first I’d like you to meet Lorena, she is our pack witch. Her family has been helping with the ritual for centuries. As part of the ending of the ritual, the consummation of the marriage, we have are witch performs an enchantment during intercourse to help conceive the next alpha”. Said Luna.

“It’s a part of the ritual to be able to control your form. At each ceremony and ritual in order to take control you have to produce an offering to your ancestors, A child, the next alpha is the perfect offering to the ancestors”. Said Lorena. “We normally don’t have the ceremony or ritual with two alphas, normally it’s with an alpha and human”. Said Luna.

So what is that supposed to mean? Am I pregnant now? Asked Kate. Luna looked at Kate and smiled, “as long as the spell worked you should be.” Kate frond and walked away. James followed her. When he caught up to her, he stopped her, “Kate, are you okay?” James asked. “I promise you I had no idea about this. This was my first ritual too. My mother has never told me about this.” Kate stopped and looked at him.

“I’m having a hard time believing you right now, James. I’m not happy that everyone has been lying to me since I’ve met them. I don’t know who to trust anymore. Not only that, but I feel like my life is being planned for me, like I have no control anymore. I wasn’t happy about everyone lying and pushing me into this marriage, but I did it for you because deep down I wanted to because yes I love you, but I wanted to get to know you before we got married or had a child. And now I don’t get a choice.

James takes Kate my her waist, pulls her into a big hug. “I’m sorry Kate, I didn’t know you felt this way. I didn’t know about the witch and what the ritual entailed. But I do know I love you too, I’ve never felt love like I do with you. But I can promise you I will love you and our child and give you both a wonderful life full of love and happiness. Because when I'm with you, you make my heart full.” Kate smiled and hugged him back. They stood there holding each other for a while.

James looked at Kate, “let’s go home and get some rest.” Kate smiled “please I’m exhausted, it’s been a long day, but whose house are we going too? “James said we can go to my house for the night.” Kate said ok, but I would like to say goodbye to my sister before we leave.” James told Kate, “that’s fine, I’ll go and tell my mother we are leaving.” They said their goodbye to everyone and headed home.
