Forbidden Love

Chapter 2

Jimin POV

It is 4am and I have just landed in the US to take on my last year at Red Moon University here in Florida. I don't understand how they can survive in this heat. How will I survive? I am used to mountain air and decent climate, but this is actually ridiculous. You see, I am a werewolf, and no it´s not like you see in movies and like that, that we only can transform under full moon and we loose our human self, we can transform whenever we like, and we are still in some control, at least we are aware of what our wolf is doing when we are in wolf form, and we can take over control and transform back to our human form whenever we want to. Unlike most other wolves, we, whi have some kind of status in the pack, like me, I am an alpha, which means whenever I find my other half, my soulmate, my mate, I will take over and lead our pack from my father. However, since I turned 18, that is when we can smell and sense our mate, I haven´t had any kind of luck in finding her. However, my wolf, Sooho, has been quite restless since we landed and whenever I am asking him about it, all I get is "I don´t know, but I sense that something big is about to happen." He can´t specify if it is something good or bad.

Werevolves exist everywhere, however Red Moon University belongs to the Red Moon pack, which is the only pack that exists here in Florida, but the school is located on natural grounds, which means this lands doesn't belong to the Red Moon pack. They seem to be a good pack and have a lot of allies throughout the country. I am glad they agreed to let me transfer my last year here. I won´t be staying on their pack grounds, even when they gave me the opportunity to do so, I will be staying within campus the entire time here.

"Sooho, please, can you just stop pacing around for a while. You are giving me a headache." At some point Sooho, must quit this pacing. I don´t really want to start off my first and my last year in school with an annoying wolf who only do good in giving headaches.

"I can´t, I don´t know what it is, but I can´t shake this feeling off of me, something is about to happen Jimin. So stop complaining. As soon as I know what it is, I will be easier on you." Sooho can really be a pain in the ass sometime, but I still love him, he is my other half, or more like we are one.

"Sure buddy, but get some sleep please, I don´t want to show up to school with a headache and have to go bananas on everyone I meet because of you. Remember, this isn´t our school and we have nothing to say about anything here." Sooho just huffs and retreats to the back of my head, but he finally calms down a bit. He did, however, leave me with an uneasy feeling and I can´t help but to be on high alert the entire trip up to campus and the school. I lay my head against the car window and finally, for the first time since I left my pack, the Jade pack, I can relax and let sleep take over.

After a few hours the taxi driver let me know that we had arrived at the campus. I slowly wake up, get out of the car and go behind to bring my luggage out of the car.

"Man, you look horrible. Sure that you are human? I mean, you look like a zombie." The taxi driver seems to be a chill guy, but with the lack of sleep and this, still uneasy feeling, I couldn´t stop myself before Sooho came forward and snapped at him to shut up and take what he said, back.

"Sorry man, I didn´t mean to offend you." He was shaking a bit out of fear and quickly took my luggage out of the trunk and ran back into the car and drove off.

"Dude, you didn´t have to do that. I didn't even pay the poor man. He crossed the line yeah, but still."

"We might not be on our lands, but we can´t take s**t like this from anyone human..." Sooho got quite and automatically started to wag his tail like a puppy. That was when I realized that amazing, addictive smell, strawberry and cream in summer rain. That is one h**l of an amazing smell. I followed the trail of that mouthwatering smell only to bump into the most gorgeous women I´ve ever played my eyes on, she can´t be more then 5ft tall, she has this long curly dark brown hair in a pony tail, her beautiful skyblue eyes reminds me of Soohos eyes, except he got this amber dyed border around his. That was when Sooho uttered the one word I never thought he would ever say.

"Mate, mate, mate! This beauty is our MATE!"

I took one more sniff in the air and that was when I realized, she is human. No, no, no, this can´t be true! My mate is a human?! The only thing that wasn´t supposed to happen, just happened. You see, werewolves are a secret from the humans, they don´t know that we exist, they think we are a myth, a horror story, which in return makes it impossible for us to mate with a human, we can´t under any circumstances accept a human as our mate, but we can´t reject them either. The only thing to go through this is to get away and try to stay away from them as far as possible, until the matebond severe on it own. However this will be impossible, after what she said next:

"Hi, I am Maddie, I assume that you are Jimin, the transfer student." I just nod my head in response. "Good that I found you now. I will be the one in charge of that you find your way to every class and that you get settled in. Which means you will live with me as your guide for the first week." Well, I am f***ed. The mate bond will only grow stronger the more I am near her, the more time I spend with her, it will be harder for me to break the mate bond once I go back home. I think it already has me in its claws, her smile is the most beautiful smile I´ve ever seen. She is perfect.

Why is life so cruel? Why did the Moon Goddess give me a human as a mate? Why put me to the test with this forbidden love?
