CHAPTER 9: SHIFT

Clara's POV

"Let's start shall we?"

Erik smiled at us and motioned us to sit but I walked towards him and stood beside him while we are facing Ian and my brother Vincent.

"Vincent I want you to rest but we really need to talk to Tia and my gut is telling me that this mission is for you" Erik ordered. I was confused on how Erik said that it was like he is excited for Vincent but on the other hand my brother is being nervous.

"You scared bro?" I mind linked Vincent. When he turned to me looking shocked I smirked at him.

"Shut up Clara"

And I think I should really stop teasing him. He looked more scared now.

"Can you Vincent?" Erik asked when Vincent is not responding. Ian looking nervously at Vincent.

"Yes of course alpha" Vincent answered with a straight face and excused himself from the meeting.

"Protect her"

"Yes of course Angeline we will protect her because we need her"

"It's not me"

"What?"

Angeline then blocked me out. Again, it's not her.

"Who are you?"

I whispered in my head knowing no one will reply. I came back to my senses when I felt Erik's hand pressed my hands.

"Sweetheart are you okay?" Erik asked with a worried look.

"Yes I'm fine I just need some fresh air I guess, excuse me" I kissed Erik in his forehead and excused myself from the meeting letting Erik do the thinking.

"Let's run sissie"

"It's been a while huh"

"Hell yeah"

"Everybody saw us that day when we shifted. It's no use hiding it now"

"And our mate also knows it so lets have fun"

"Let's go"

So much excitement in me that I just run off not thinking where to go. When we got to the forest and saw no one else I started to shift and when I felt my paws touching the grass I quickly run off to the forest without caring about anything else.

Erik's POV

"Sweetheart are you okay?" I asked because Clara seemed to be lost in her own thoughts and I became worried.

"Yes I'm fine I just need some fresh air I guess, excuse me" Clara excused herself looking tired so I didn't bother ask her where she's going instead I asked Ian to look after her. Ian nod and followed Clara.

"Alpha I think you want to see this"

I thought about Clara and dashed out of my office leaving my paperworks and went straight to our forest. I shift then followed the scent of my mate.

When I arrived where my mate at I was amazed at what I saw. Her beautiful wolf and her eyes was so mesmerizing. It's the gold eyes my grandmother used to tell me about.

I just stood there watching her run and be playful with the butterflies and Im not the only one who's not mesmerized. Bit by bit some of the pack members are here watching their Luna.

Her golden eyes and her glorious white fur. I can't just seem to keep my eyes away from it. It's just so beautiful more than what my grandmother told me.

A minute has passed a young twin, a girl and a boy shifted and run towards their luna. Clara smelled their scent then bite their ears playfully. The twin howled in happiness and not long all the pack members shifted and run towards their luna

Clara stood straight and proud. Looked at them one by one and started running. The pack members run with her afterwards.

Seeing this made my heart calm and proud. I howled and run towards beside Clara. We ran and ran around the forest until we got tired.

That run made us united as we ever be. I don't feel like losing in any battle, I felt so strong after our run.

Clara and I looked at our pack members and I howled signaling them to go home and rest.

I haven't marked her yet so our bond is not that firm. We can't mind link each other but at this moment I want to mark her.

Clara's POV

After our long run with the packs, Erik and I went to the garden where we first saw each other.

We just laid there watching the view laying and feeling the warmth of each other.

"I feel that they want to mark us"

"I'm not ready for that" Telling her with a final tone on my voice.

"He's our mate Clara. It's okay"

"I'm just scared"

"Don't be"

I sighed and blocked her on my head. I then turned and looked at him. Is it really okay? Should I give him all my trust? Is it going to be okay?

Questions keep on running in my head over and over again until I turned and looked at Erik and surprised when he is currently looking at me.

Oh those Green-Blue eyes of his. Looking at his eyes makes me feel like im being sucked in and all my fear vanished. I love him so much, I don't care if its the mate pull or what. I just love him and that moment I knew it's okay. That everything will be okay because I know that whatever happens he will always be at my side.

Erik caressed my face using his face then sniffed my scent. Licking my face and tickling me. We played for a while in the garden and then he motioned me to go.

When we arrived at the pack house, Ian and Erik's cousin are waiting in the front door with robes in their hands.

We shifted and they immediately covered our bodies with the robes.

"Thank you" I smiled at her and she bid her farewell.

Erik held my hand until we arrived at our house. When we reached our room I hurriedly run to the bathroom.

"What is this moment? I am so freaking nervous" I talked to Angeline.

"Just give in to your feelings darling"

I nervously smiled at her in my head and blocked her again.

I quickly took a shower and when I got out of the bathroom I saw Erik sitting in the bed.

"What?" I asked him with a puzzled look on my face.

He just laughed and messed with my hair then went straight to the bathroom. I heard the shower turned on and I settled myself on the bed feeling hot.

"You're in heat"

"What now?!!"

"Just give in sissy"

Now that explained why I'm feeling like this I'm in heat. I suddenly remembered Erik laughing at me earlier oh for *** sake he knew.

I face palmed my self and tried to fall asleep but I can't. Suddenly Erik came out to the bathroom wearing his sleeping clothes and sit down on the bed beside me.

"I'm in heat" I told him.

"I know sweetheart" Erik said trying to stop his smile from escaping his lips which failed. I frowned at him.

"The heat will last for 24 hrs darling and will get stronger that is why I'm sleeping in the guest room tonight to lessen your heat"

I frowned even more at him. I want to be with him but he said it will lessen my heat so I just smiled at him. When he saw me smiled his face was covered with relief.

Erik's POV

"The heat will last for 24 hrs darling and will get stronger that is why I'm sleeping in the guest room tonight to lessen your heat" I explained to Clara and I think I won't control myself when her heat will grow stronger.

She frowned but eventually smiled at me. I feel relief when I saw her smile.

"Goodnight" Clara said while pouting. I messed with her hair for being too cute. I laughed.

"Goodnight my love" I smiled and pecked her on the lips when she instantly put her arms around my neck.

Shocked at her actions and tried to pull away but she moved her hand from my neck through my chest. I instantly gave in and deepen our kiss.

Clara moaned when I inserted my tounge to her mouth. She returned her arms in my neck and we kissed while laying her down.

Clara's POV

When Erik gave me a peck on the lips I just can't control it. I listened to what Angeline said and gave in to my feelings.

Erik positioned me lying in the bed without breaking the kiss.

His hands started roaming around my body until it reached my breast and I let out a moan.

Erik then break the kiss and started kissing me on my neck which made my moan louder.

"O- Oh Erik" I finally managed to talk but it came out as moan.

Erik looked at me and I saw in his eyes that his wolf is there. His eyes started to change and started kissing my neck until he reached my nape.

My moan grew louder as he lick my nape and suddenly I felt a pain in my neck.

So much pain that I grabbed Erik's hair. I was trying to stop myself from shouting but the pain is so intense that all I can do is shout.

Not too long the pain then changed into pure pleasure.

Erik's blue-green eyes came back. He rested his head to mine while we are both catching our breaths.

"You are mine" Erik said while looking straight intio my eyes.

My heat became bearable and it came to me that I am now his. No turning back. With that thought on mind. I instantly bite his nape to mark him.

After licking my mark on him. I said to him "and you are mine"
