The week after Knott’s Berry Farm, Daniel came to Kassie with an idea. “I think we need help,” he said. “Professional help. This is bigger than us figuring it out on our own.” Kassie looked up from her laptop. “What do you mean?” “Couples therapy. I think we should go to couples therapy. Together.” Kassie was quiet for a moment, processing. “You want to go to therapy?” “I don’t want to lose you over this. And I don’t know how to fix it by myself. So yeah, I want to go to therapy.” “Okay,” Kassie said. “Yeah.
