Chapter SixteenThe chamber in which they stood was dim and sparsely furnished with only a small table placed near the door upon which a single candle stood. There were no windows in this room, which was unusual in a temple where Light was revered, but the purpose of this particular space required darkness. Having just entered, they stood gazing at the only other furnishing of the room in silence, astonished beyond speaking by the massive mirror standing centrally in the room.
