“We’re gonna be growing our own nursery stock now,” Rusty said. “Given how we started this business, who would have thought that?”
It was Monday morning, and Eric and Rusty were surveying their new acreage.
“Yeah,” Eric said. “And this once useless little plot of dirt can hold a shitload of pots full of growing shrubs.”
“That’s for sure. I wish we could afford to put a chain-link fence around it.”
“Maybe in a couple of years,” Eric said. “For now, we’ll have to settle for hog wire. Even with my cousin doing the work, it’s gonna cost a bundle.”
“Have you given any thought to what varieties we ought to raise?”
“For now, I’ll settle for whatever clippings we save when we’re out and about doing our jobs,” Eric said. “We can add other shrubs as needed.”
