Chapter 462019—mid June
Two weeks later found both Eric and Carlton spending most of their days driving their F-150s slowly through the melon fields, pulling trailers behind them. Carlton had hired two other drivers and their trucks, as well. Rusty had called a few people he knew, and had somehow rounded up a small army of boys in their late teens to help with the melon harvest. While Eric was driving his truck in the fields, Rusty had taken over both of their lawn care crews and was using his truck to ferry them from job to job.
