This Is Only The Beginning

The Revelation: Part One~

Millennia ago there was a pair of Gods that protected a village if they were appeased by Sacrifices. These sacrifices could be food matter, farm animals, or any manner of homemade goods, among other sacrificial items.

The Goddess, Ghenna (Gen-nuh) had been married off to the God, Yvori (Ee-vor-ee) just the year before. They were able to make their own anniversary on the very day that they wished it to be.

Ghenna and Yvori chose to make their anniversary date on the date that they acquired the sacrifice from the village at the bottom of the mountain that they lived on.

The morning of the sacrifice, Ghenna and Yvori were preparing. Ever since the day of their wedding millennia ago, it had been made clear that she was not interested in Yvori. Ever since Ghenna had become the Goddess over the small town of Arcadesia (Are-kay-dee-see-uh), she has had her heart set on the most handsome of men, Szenri (Zen-ree).

Szenri was a carpenter, and was always more than willing to help anyone in need. He never asked for anything in return, and never left anyone wanting, after he promised them that he'd be there. As far as Ghenna had seen, he'd also never taken a lover in the time that she'd been the Goddess (which was many millennia, she must admit).

Ghenna would waste away her days just watching the man of her fancy, something that she did not quit doing after she married Yvori. Yvori did not appreciate her looking at another man, but he'd do anything to make her happy. With a soft sigh, Yvori got his wife's attention.

"Ghenna, dear. It's time for the sacrifice." Yvori waited until she turned to look at him before she grinned wide. "I want him for this sacrifice." She stated before looking back at Szenri. Yvori sighed, but nodded and turned to head to their shrine. "As you wish, dear."

Yvori and Ghenna made their way to the shrine together, where they would give the humans they protected instructions on what they wanted as a sacrifice for that years protection. After they had made the villagers aware of what they wished to have, they were shocked but worshiped just the same and went to get the man by the name of Szenri for the Goddess.
