Morning seemed to drag slowly the next day. I had slept in and no one had bothered to wake me up. No one sent for me either. I supposed that it was a good thing either way. Lately, it seemed that any summons I received was to get another scolding. I was sick and tired of those. I took a long bath, soaking in and letting the hot water relax me. I spent time washing and straightening my hair. It was still in perfect condition though. It had been styled during the engagement party dinner.
I took my time selecting an outfit and finally decided on wearing a tight-fitting t-shirt and shorts. I regarded myself in the mirror as I pulled my hair into a neat bun.
