*Ezmeralda POV:*
The very second Natalie brought us home I was running through the halls to get to my mom's room. My emotions are all over the place along with my thoughts. I have no clue how I am going to stop what is happening to her so I am hoping Rosa has some answers to help lead me in the right direction. I made it to the room, threw the door open and couldn't believe my eyes. My mother looks like a hollow version of the woman she is.
Her skin looks pale, almost grey, her hair seems to be thinning, and she looks like she has lost about 30 lbs. She is skin and bones. If I didn't know better I'd even say her features are looking less human and more reptilian. No, that can't be right. There's no way. I could see Mariah next to her bed, as Ash and Natalie finally came in behind me.
