"Rose, do you want some breakfast before you go?" I hear Tyler ask... "Yeah sure," I say as I walk into the kitchen and give him a hug and a kiss on the cheek. "Good morning." "Good morning love." He says and gives me a kiss on my forehead. Last night I couldn't sleep. Not because I had a nightmare or something but because that kiss just kept me wide awake and I was dying to tell someone or just talk about it. The first person that popped up in my mind to tell was Mindy but then I remembered, she was sleeping with Bryan so I went over to Tyler's house and told him what had happened. He was shocked at first then he asked me how I felt about everything. I don't know how I feel about it. Yesterday was a great day with Ian. He's a nice funny guy and it was fun spending time with him but I kinda have the feeling that maybe he just got caught up in the moment or maybe had a little too much wine. But the kiss was amazing and made me feel weak to my knees and worse of all is that ever since that kiss I can't help but have a little crush on him. Who wouldn't after the way he kissed me! Tyler places my breakfast in front of me and I start eating after I was finished he drove me to school. Spanish was my worst subject. I understood most of it but when it came to writing or speaking the language I failed miserably. What made it even worse was that my Spanish teacher señor Xavier was extremely attractive which made it difficult to concentrate. He's handing out the test we made last week and from the student's reactions it wasn't made that bad even other kids that also normally get bad grades got a C+ but when he gave me my test results, there was a big red D written on the corner of my paper. "Can I see you after class Rose?" he asked and I gave him a nod. I rechecked my work hoping he made a mistake correcting my paper but like usual it was me who made all the mistakes. After class, I waited until everyone left the room and walked up to the teacher. "You wanted to see me sir," I said in a low voice. He stopped what he was doing and motioned me to sit at the desk in front of his. "Rose I think you know why I asked you to stay after class." He said giving me a questioning look, I just gave him a nod and he continued. "I know that you are not a student that gets bad grades, I've checked with your other classes and you get excellent grades. I want that to be the same as my class, Spanish. So tell me, Rose, why is it that you only get low grades in this class?" "Well sir, the thing is that I do understand what you say when you are explaining things in class even when you speak Spanish and when you give us homework I normally have most of the answers correct but when I have the test in front of me everything just goes blank and Spanish seems like Chinese to me at that moment." I try to explain it as well as possible so he can understand. "Do you understand what I mean?" I ask when I finally look up at him. "Shockingly I do and I want to give you a second chance so next week Monday you will get to redo the test and I will help you study for it." I was shocked when he said that, is he really giving me a second chance. "Wow thank you, sir." "No problem Rose," he said and gave me a smile. "Why are you giving me a second chance though? Not that I don't appreciate it because I really do but I'm just wondering why." "I had a feeling you'd ask that. It's because I know that you can do better and I'd like to help you with it. I want you to be better in my class." "That's very caring, thank you so much, sir," I say with a big smile on my face. "Any time Rose, see you Wednesday in class." "I'll be there," I said and walked out of class. He's a really nice teacher I thought to myself. Spanish was my last class for today and because no one can pick me up I decided to take the bus and get something to eat. As I was waiting for the bus a guy from my class Dylan walked up to me. "Hey Rose, what ya doing here?" he said in a cheery voice. "Waiting for the bus Dylan, what about you?" "Same, I thought you don't take the bus." "What makes you say that?" "Because you're rich and stuff, I thought rich kids don't take the bus." I laughed at his comment. "I'll try not to take that personally but I guess I'm not that spoiled as all rich girl," I said still laughing. "Cool," he said in a cheery mood. The bus came and we got in. "Mind if I sit next to you?" he said. "Not at all." "So where are you going?" "I don't really know, I'm just going anywhere where I can get some lunch." "Great cause I'm starving." "Of course you can join me having lunch Dylan," I said in a sarcastic tone. "I know I can," he said with a grin on his face. "I was kidding," I said while rolling my eyes. "I wasn't." after he said that we both started laughing. "You're not that bad Rose Hart." He gave me a playful punch on my arm "Thanks, Dylan and neither are you." Also giving him a punch at his arm. We went to Wendy's cause that was the first food place we saw. "You know this is the very first time I actually spoke to you," he said as he took a bite of his hamburger. "Yeah, it is." I never realized it but he was right. I don't really talk to anyone in my class. "To be honest I ever thought you'd be so down to earth," he said a little shockingly. "Ow really? How did you think I'd be?" I asked out of curiosity. "Well..." he said, "I thought you'd be more like a rich girl. Thinking that you're better than everyone just because you have money and get good grades. I also thought that you'd be that type of girl that only eats healthy, like salads and all that. But what I thought of you was completely different than you actually are. I should tell the kids in our class that you're not a spoiled rich girl." "Wow, that's what you guys call me, thanks, dude." I rolled my eyes at him and he just laughed. "Nah, I'm just kidding." My phone starts to vibrate and saw Tyler's name pop up. "Sorry I got to take this." I pressed to answer. "Hey." "Hey love, where are you?" "I'm at Wendy's." "What are you doing there?" "Having lunch, what else would I be doing at a fast-food restaurant? Don't answer that" I said when I realized that he would make a s****l comment. I could hear him laugh at the other end of the line One more week until my dad goes on his business trip. Ian came over for dinner tonight. Normally I stay quiet the entire meal because he and my dad keep on talking about things that I either don't understand because it's work-related or it's just too boring to pay any attention to so I'd end up daydreaming about him. But not this time. This time when I went to open the door he had a girl with him. I got to admit she's pretty but that's all she is just pretty. I'm not trying to be rude but she looks like a plain boring girl to me. Her outfit is trashy for someone who is probably dating the CEO of a big company, it looks cheap. She's wearing a tight nude colour dress that is 2 sizes too small for her and doesn't compliment her skin tone at all. She is very light-coloured so the dress makes it look like she's wearing nothing. But I do know that everything she is wearing is designer. Her makeup isn't done properly she didn't blend it well. She does have pretty blue eyes and even though everything is squeezed in that tight small dress of hers I can see that she as an ok figure. "Hey Rosie." he gives me a kiss on the cheek "I'd like you to meet my girlfriend Jamie." I scoffed "you got to be kidding me." I looked at her up and down and then again at Ian. I gave them a big fake smile. "Well, why you don't guys come on in." I rolled my eyes while closing the door and tried to calm myself down. It's not fun to get this jealous. I walked into the dining room where the table was placed with our food and everyone was already seated. I sat across Ian and Jamie. I don't know why I'm getting this jealous of me and Ian were never even a thing besides this should make it easier for me getting over him knowing he has a girlfriend. While my dad and Ian started talking sweet little Jamie tried to have a conversation with me. Great now I have to talk to her. "So Rose, I heard you're going to be staying with my Boo Bear for probably 2 months." Boo Bear? Really? I tried not to laugh or roll my eyes. "Yeah I Am." before she could say something back my dad interrupted our little 'fun' chat. "So how long have you guys been dating and how did you guys meet?" I feel like my dad was torturing me cause he probably already knew the answer to his question cause Ian must have told him everything already but then again my dad still thinks I hate his guts and doesn't know I've been having a huge crush on him since he kissed me. "Well I met Ian at a party his family invited me to cause I'm good friends with one of his cousins and when we met something just clicked and we've been dating for almost 4 months." 4 months? That means that when he kissed me he was already dating her for 2 months. "Wow, almost 4 months huh?" I said with the best smile I could put on while I looked at Ian and knew that he was thinking about the same thing I was. Dinner went by quickly but not quick enough, Jamie kept on asking me things like how old I am and what I'd like to do after I finish school. I think she got the message that I didn't want to have a conversation with her because I kept answering her shorts. After it was over, I insisted to wash up cause I wanted to get out of there as soon as possible and they went outside in the back at the pool to get a drink. I hate to see Ian with another girl especially when she is all over him. He gives her attention but not as much as she is giving him. Probably because he's busy talking to my dad and she just has nothing to do because I don't want to talk to her. The past month Ian and I became really close which made my attractions to him even stronger. He's been flirty and making me laughs all the time. He hasn't kissed me ever since that night and hasn't spoken about it either. We've hung out a lot, sometimes Tyler would come along or my dad but mostly it was just us two. When it was just the two of us it was funnier than when someone else came along. From all the times that we hung out not once has he mentioned that he has a girlfriend! Wasn't he supposed to? They've been dating for almost 4 months! How dare he kissed me and make me catch feelings for him when he for sure as hell knows that I wouldn't have a chance with him because he has a girlfriend. The more I thought about it the more I got mad. "Wow you actually know how to clean a kitchen?" he said in a teasing way but I wasn't in the mood for teasing. I looked up at him and rolled my eyes and just gave him the silent treatment. "Rose, what's wrong? Why aren't you talking to me? He kept trying to get my attention but I kept on ignoring him. "C'mon Rose." He comes behind me, wraps his arms around my waist and tickles me. "Stop it, Ian." I try to get away from his grip. "Wow you used my name, you must be really Mad." he chuckles and smirks at me. It made me even more mad that he was laughing. "Whatever." I rolled my eyes at him and kept on cleaning. "Go on to your w***e," I whispered loud enough for only him to hear. He chuckled and went outside. After I was done cleaning I went into the bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror. What's going on with you Rose, you're not even dating the guy, and you don't know if he even likes you back. Why am I getting jealous at something I know would or could never happen? I have to just accept that Ian has a girlfriend and that that kiss didn't mean anything. In one week I'm going to be staying with him, I'm going to be with him 24/7 which means that I'm going to be seeing him and his girlfriend a lot so I better get used to it now. I kept on tried to convince myself until I was convinced but that didn't happen. I didn't go back downstairs. I figured that I wouldn't have anything to talk about and I didn't feel to be around them. Just when I was getting comfortable in bed someone knocked on my door. "Hey, what ya up to." His soft voice fills the room. I keep my earplugs on and continue to watch Grey Anatomy acting like I don't even see him. He walks over to my bed and sits on one side. "Come on Rose you can't keep ignoring me, I've done nothing wrong." He moves his hand to my thighs and rubs it smoothly. I pause the show and remove my earplugs angry. "What on earth do you mean you haven't done anything wrong?" I raise my voice at him. "What about that you have a girlfriend, don't you think you could have mentioned it! And don't say it wasn't anything serious because you guys have been dating for four months and that girl is head over heels for you Ian. You could've at least mentioned it, Ian." I start to calm down and look at him straight in the eye. "You're acting like this because of what happened that night when I kissed you, aren't you? I'm sorry to have misled you but yeah I have a girlfriend." He can't look me in the eye; his face is covered in guilt. I scoff and roll my eyes "You don't say."
