"Max!!!" I heard my brother and beta Sam scream. "What do you need now" I reply. " Its almost dinner and mom asked that you at least come to the table for once" Sam said. "Okay, okay I'm coming ". I slowly got out of my chair and walked out of my office . Since my office is on the second floor, I walked down the stairs to the dinning room on the first floor, where everyone was waiting patiently for me to arrive to start dinner. As I made my entrance I could see my mother, father, brother Sam, his mate Ariel and their three year old son Anthony at my table. I unlike my bother haven't found my mate, it has made me ruthless, being a 25 year old alpha with no mate while my bother found his at 20 and now at 23 is expecting his second child. All I have ever wanted was to have a strong beautiful mate who will be my Luna and a mother to my pack.

As I sit down I can see that all eyes are on me and I don't blame them since it's been months since I have bother to come down for a meal. Ever since my brother announce that they were expecting again I couldn't bare the though that he has everything I have always wanted. As my 26 birthday is coming in a few months it has made me wonder if the moon goddess was punishing me for being ruthless and cruel to anyone who got on my bad side since I became Alpha. Yes I was a cruel Alpha only because my father thought me that you don't become the number one pack by being soft. I don't allow rouges into my territory, I train my pack seven days a week and always make sure that everyone is doing their part in keeping the pack save. If anyone brakes my rules they are to be put down in the cells and punished how ever I see fit. Some times I starve them and sometimes I leave them there for a week at a time.

"Max" my father called. "How is everything going, have you found a new doctor to replace Dr. Steve's". "No I haven't found one father" I reply. Dr. Stevens has been are doctor for a long time but now that he's is 70 he would like to retire and be able to spend time with his family. But what my father doesn't get is that it takes time to find a doctor who doesn't have any attachments to their pack and since werewolf's rarely get sick most packs only have one Doctor at a time along with a handful of nurses. "I have looked in every pack and no one has a Doctor willing to leave their life's behind or a spare doctor either" I tell my father".

My father is not happy with the situation and calmly tells me I have exactly a month to find a doctor because Dr. Steve's is retiring at the end of next month. He has waited long enough to retired and isn't getting any younger.

After dinner I go back to my office to look at all the packs files, I need to find a replacement as soon as possible. My father might have pass down the alpha title but until I find my mate he has a say in anything with the pack since my mother is still the Luna. " We must find our mate" says drew my wolf. " I know " I reply. "Try harder max because if not I'll take over and I'll find her for us" drew says. " I know I will begging looking around packs and see who is still unmated as I look for the new Doctor as well" I reply and shut down the link to my wolf. He has been driving me insane for the past year.

After many hours of working and searching I have narrowed down the files to see that only one pack has a doctor to spare but I doubt that since she is new at being a doctor she will have any experience. I will just have to go there and see for my self before I bring an inexperience doctor to my pack. I will call the Alpha tomorrow and let him know that I will be coming to his pack.

I leave my office and slowly make my way to the 6th floor. I have the whole floor to my self since I'm not mated and my parent decided to get their own house, they wanted to enjoy the peace that comes with not living in a pack house with over 200 wolfs. As I make my way to my suite I don't ever bother to shower. I strip down to my boxer and lay down to sleep because I haven't been able to sleep in months with all the added stress from running a pack on my own. I need to find my Luna soon.
