Chapter 23 Pushing himself harder than he ever had, Chase ran along the hiking trail toward the top of the mountain. His heart slammed against his chest, thighs burned and sweat poured down his face, but he didn’t stop. He couldn’t. He needed to get to the top and talk to his mom.
