Chapter 2. Rebel.

287 Words
Diana arrived at her house later than usual. Rayne finally had enough of watching the girl hurt herself and hauled her out of the building. Ever since four years ago living with her mother was uncomfortable, her mom treated her like a klutz and walked around eggshells while near her.  At twenty Diana thought that she would have moved out by now, especially with her income of a professional champion skater. Naive, young sixteen year old herself didn’t know what was coming to her on that fateful night. She was ecstatic to be in the finals of the championship, looking back she realised how dumb she was. She practised that routine around four times, she grew cocky, that performance would’ve been her most challenging yet. Diana fully remembers the lecture her coach gave her the night before “A good night’s sleep. That’s what you need. Go home and get a good night sleep.”  She repeated that until Diana was out the door and into her car. Diana knew how strict and tough her coach was, pushing her and her fellows skater’s to beyond high expectations. Diana finally had enough. One night. She wanted one night to do whatever she wanted.  As if on cue her long term boyfriend — Levi Winters rung her. Levi knew about Diana’s big competition tomorrow because he was also a champion skater and was participating in the male section the next week. Levi and Diana was always in the spotlight, making the covers of magazines. The stress had benne getting to her, everywhere she went there were eyes peering at her. Waiting for any mistake. She instantly accepted his invitation to a party. Diana felt an adrenaline rush corse through her veins. She had finally rebelled.
