Cupcakes
Prior to the employees’ breaks and Timothy’s unexpected arrival at Cupcakes, Jarr was boxing an assortment of three-layer cakes, seven in all, for a future pickup by Tan Billings, the head chairperson for the Young Men’s Auxiliary of Snowden. The YMAS was having an annual dinner for over two hundred guests. Tan was to pick up the seven cakes at approximately five-thirty, which Jarr was preparing.
The seven cakes sat unboxed on the far left glass case next to a stack of empty boxes. One cake was an almond and carrot with extra icing. A second cake was a vegan chocolate and smelled divine.
