Chapter 14

When her alarm clock rang, Kendall almost threw it across the room, but then she remembered that this was exam season and she had to go to school. She groaned as she rose up, her legs and thighs were so sore, she felt like she ran a half-marathon. She sat on the side of the bed and felt sore in places she never thought she would. She tried to unfold herself and groaned at the throbbing in between her legs. She sat back down, took a breather and tried again, more successful this time. She was barely out of the bed when someone knocked on her door. Groaning, she awkwardly stumble to the door.

‘’Kendall, sis. Are you up? I’ve got something for you, can I come in?’’ Carl spook through the door.

‘’Coming!’’ She answered while slowly making her way to the door.

She opened the door and was surprised by a full plate of chocolate dripping pancakes.

‘’Happy Birthday, sis! I know we’re celebrating this weekend, but I wanted to do something special the day of.’’ He shouted with a huge smile.

‘’Oh My God! Thank you so much, Carl. This is so sweet! I’m gonna eat them right here.’’ Kendall was ecstatic.

She couldn’t believe Carl was being so lovely at the moment. She always knew he had sweet spot for her, and he had always been a good brother but little moments like these were not so common that she could take them for granted.

She took her first bite of the pancakes and moaned. The pancakes were heavenly, and the chocolate sauce was overly sweetened, just how she liked it. She devoured the rest in record time, even licked the plate clean. Carl chuckled while watching her.

‘’I’ll take this as a compliment. I’ll go get you a napkin, you’ve got chocolate all over your mouth.’’ He said, standing up.

‘’No, no, don’t worry, I need to go to the bathroom anyway to get ready for school.’’ She got up and licked her fingers.

She leaned to him and kissed him on the cheek.

‘’Thank you, big brother. I love you.’’

‘’You’re welcome, baby sis.’’ He grinned.

She was in the happiest mood she has ever been in the last six months when she walked to the school. Tina had been waiting for her as usual. Once she saw Kendall arrive, her eyes lit up and a huge grin appeared on her face. She ran to Kendall and wrapped her in a big bear hug.

‘’Happy Birthday, big Mama!! How are you this morning? Am I the first one to wish it to you?’’

‘’Thank you, girl! I’m very good, very happy. Carl wished me a happy birthday already, he made delicious pancakes dipped in chocolate for breakfast.’’

‘’Ooooh!’’ Tina cooed seductively. ‘’The stepbrother is trying to be in your good favors…’’

‘’Ugh! Get your mind out of the gutter, it’s not like that. He’s just being a good brother. I know when there is a hidden meaning in what he does, that wasn’t the case there. He just wanted to be nice.’’

‘’Awww!’’ Tina cooed. ‘’That’s so sweet then. What about your parents? Did they wish you a happy birthday?’’

Kendal contemplated for a moment; she could say that her father wished her a happy birthday this morning which was somewhat true and also a double lie. Her father did wish her a happy birthday in the best way possible in the earliest morning hour possible. However, she didn’t see him in the morning since both her parents were asleep when she left for school.

This is how you get caught: when you lose control of your lies.

‘’Nah, they were still asleep when I left for school, this morning. I’m sure, they’ll wish it when I get home.’’ She finally said.

Tina gave her a strange look for a second but turned around quickly.

The rest of the day went without a hitch. Teachers reviewed the tests material for which Kendall was grateful for. In some courses, it even gave her an extra boost of confidence because she understood all of it.

At lunch, Tina had bought her a triple chocolate cupcake, saying that it was just a preview of what she would be getting on Saturday.

‘’Woah! Don’t overdo it, aren’t we gonna get a big spread or something as well? I’m gonna explode if you force me to eat all of that.’’ Kendall exclaimed.

‘’Nah, you won’t. I have faith in you.’’ Tina sneered.

‘’Why, thank you Miss. For a while, I thought you had stopped believing in my ogre capabilities. Happy to see that it isn’t the case.’’ Kendall ironically declared.

Tina was laughing so much, she almost chocked on her cucumber pieces.

‘’Seriously though. I probably won’t be hungry at the start of the party, so just have a few snacks and ones that won’t go bad immediately. Later in the night, we’ll probably get hungry, so we’ll order some junk food. Whatever we want to eat.’’

‘’Way ahead of you, lady. The cake won’t be until eleven at night and the snack will all be finger food that most people get addicted to without being hungry.’’ Tina winked.

‘’Alrighty then. I’m very excited for this.’’

As the day went on, Kendall thought about how a good friend Tina was being and started to feel a pang of guilt for keeping so many secrets from her. She didn’t believe that Tina was telling her absolutely everything from her life, but she didn’t believe she was keeping anything big to herself either. For example, she told Kendall when she lost her virginity four months ago to a college student that Tina had a crush on for years when he was here at the school. However, the same reasoning that she made when she first started her arrangement with the school supervisor is still valid with the situation she’s in today. No one could know about this family secret. Plus, even if she had known Tina for years now, she wasn’t sure her best friend would understand, and refrain from any judgement. She was a very open-minded person sure, hated slut-shaming and often said that it takes all kind of people in a world. But this was a different level of twisted. Maybe, there was a way for Kendall to test the waters first, to see if she had similar tendencies as Kendall.

As she hatched different scenarios in her mind, she had reached her home. As she took off her shoes, she realized that they had not revisited the previous arrangement. Not wanting to take any risk, she still strutted to the living room. She felt a huge disappointment when she found the couch empty. That disappointment was replaced eventually by anger.

Well, if he wanted to stop getting pleasure, she certainly wasn’t going to stop him. Really trying to stay casual and happy, she went to the kitchen to grab a snack before digging into her homework. She had opened the fridge and was scanning through when she felt hands on her waist and a crotch pressing against her bum.

Kendall felt more relieved than she wanted to admit. His hold on her emotions was dangerously strong.

‘’Good. Tina bought me a birthday cupcake at lunch. Do you want to go to the living room now, Daddy?’’ She whispered back.

‘’No. I want to change that part, now that you are not a virgin anymore. Are you sore?’’

‘’I was this morning but I’m better now.’’

‘’Good, ‘cause I’m gonna take you against the kitchen table right now.’’ He growled.

He pulled her by the neck from behind, turned to face the table and bent her on it. All Kendall could do was gasp at the suddenness of the movements. He flipped her uniform skirt up, pushed the panties aside and jammed two fingers in her already wet p***y.

‘’Of course, if it’s too painful for you, we won’t be doing anything. Your comfort comes first, always. But if you’re asking if I mind, the answer is no, I don’t mind.’’ He gently said.

‘’Oh. Ok.’’ She nervously replied.

‘’Go grab that snack you wanted, baby. You’ve earned it.’’ He kissed her and left the kitchen.

Best birthday ever! Kendall thought for the twentieth time.

She had been back in front of the fridge for about thirty seconds when a voice spoke behind her.

‘’It smells weird in here. Did we leave something in the garbage?’’ Carl remarked.

Kendall blanched before denying everything.

‘’I don’t smell anything… Aside from the salmon from yesterday.’’

The tactic worked because all she could hear after was Carl’s disgusted groans, he hated salmon, well fish in general. She exhaled in relief when he left the kitchen mumbling about end of term exams.

That was a close one… again.

She dashed to her room, dumped her backpack on the floor and then saw a wrapped-up gift on the bed. It had a little note on it that said:

I told you I would get you a PG 13 gift.

Your mom said you wanted these.

She unwrapped it eagerly. It was a nice light pink pair of Beats Headphones. She had said she wanted one once but never followed up since it wasn’t a necessity. She smiled sweetly at the gift a planned to thank her dad and mom tonight.
