Chapter 4Iris didn’t think she had much of a choice. The night was growing darker as the station grew more deserted. The shadows already looked more frightening than the old man – his name was Aman? – in front of her. She didn’t think that he would be able to overpower her even if he was the lecherous sort. And the woman, Maitri – she spoke English – which was a relief. When the two of them, Aman and Maitri, had spoken to each other, she understood that they were trying to help her. But her Hindi was so limited that she would just have to trust her instincts about them. But then again, it was her instincts that got her off that train in the first place. What if these two had a number of nasty accomplices waiting outside to sell her into a life of s****l s*****y? Would she end up like that
