Nanzy, Imamiah, and Major Anso were invited to meet with half a dozen of Oprit Robia’s leaders at a sprawling cabin in the foothills on the northern edge of the Realta-Gorm 4 highlands. A range of conifer-covered mountains jutted skyward to the north. The cabin’s southside deck overlooked an expanse of rolling hills covered with many hundreds of species of grass and speckled with scrubby trees.
Wildlife frequently visited the cabin’s yard, which was overlaid with conifer needles and cones. The “wildlife” was not all that wild. Horned animals often stuck their wooly heads over the rail of the porch begging for nuts or pieces of fruit. Small tree rodents scampered around the deck scavenging every dropped morsel.
