January 2021On the morning of January 7th, Admiral Cortell, Frank Williams, Carla, and I drove from Santa Fe to Albuquerque to get our first COVID-19 vaccination at the New Mexico State Fairgrounds. The state’s National Guard was providing the shots in drive-through tents. We didn’t even need to risk exposure by exiting our car.
It’s almost exactly a one-hour drive from our house to the fairgrounds in Southeast Albuquerque. We were all so tired of talking about and thinking about COVID that we fell back on a familiar and more interesting topic.
