Over the last few weeks, my body has started to heal more. Nikolai and I don't touch base on my past. He's tried but realised once he's said the words I close off.
I still won't sleep in the bed, I still don't feel that comfortable here yet but I'm starting to eat more.
I don't look in the mirror and see bruises every day, I try not to smile but it's so damn hard when I feel that little flicker of excitement about how fresh I feel when I have a nice hot shower.
I've been wearing clothes and washing them after a day's use because I don't have anything else and I refuse to ask to borrow any more clothes. I'm already treating these with such care.
