I watch her. Although her body presents itself as strong and independent, I can feel her emotions the same way she can probably feel mine.
I took this attack personally, and I won't back down now. I won't sit back and allow them to believe they have won when I know that deep down, Sierra has won.
She may not feel it, or she may not seem strong enough. She may even doubt my minor affection for her right now because she's feeling something she doesn't want to feel, but right now, I'm her strength.
I will hold her up even when times are tough. When times are perfect and she's as happy as she can be. I will continue to be that strength for her. For me. For us.
