2014/Amelia's POV
The raw electricity in the air caused the hairs on my arms to stand on edge. Adrian and Drew's tense standoff was about to turn into an actual showdown with the way a crowd had formed a circle around them. With the noise in the cafeteria getting louder, I turned to see Kaylee standing beside me, her eyes wide with anticipation.
"Amelia!" she barked, grabbing my arm. "We need to get a closer look."
Before I could protest, she was dragging me through the crowd of people, her grip surprisingly strong. The closer we got to the center of the fight, the thicker the crowd became. Kaylee, however, seemed to have an uncanny ability to navigate the human obstacle course, weaving her way toward the front.
