"Natalie really?" Ava has an exasperated expression yet again and Natalie just rolls her eyes. "A school calendar?" Ava says as she points to Natalie's smartphone that she just grabbed from her after grabbing some stuff from their lockers. "What...I needed to check what it looks like." She replies to Ava who just narrows her eyes at her.  "I know you know this thing by heart missy so don't go lying about what you need."  "Still." Natalie tries to grab her phone but Ava moves it away from her reach. "And here I was thinking maybe you were doing something fun." Ava says while she scrolls through her phone obviously looking for something.  "School is fun." She weakly defends herself. "Yep school is definitely fun, but not your weird idea of school." Ava laughs. "Now smile for me babe."  A click of her phone's camera startles her. "Hey what are you doing?" She tries to grab her phone but Ava moves away again. "I am updating your ** and you better give me your best smile, or else everyone will see your grumpy self." Her friend grins while she clicks away on her phone. Natalie bites her lips before deciding to indulge Ava. "Yes that's it." "That's it? I didn't even…" "You know the ones we aren't ready for turn out to be the best." Ava grins. "Now give me that pout." Ava shouts at her like she was her personal photographer and Natalie can't help but give in. She tries to pose like the famous people she sees on some of those reality T.V channels and fashion shows and that has Ava screaming. "You go girl!" "Yes!" "OMG Nat you are a natural." She gives her one last pose appearing like she is fanning herself on an extremely hot day while grabbing on to her shirt. She decides to throw in a smile all the while oblivious to a pair of eyes that are locked on her. "Ooh, now this is a killer shot."  "Let me see that." Natalie tries to peep but Ava moves away. "In a minute" Natalie watches as Ava sends all the pics to her phone before giving her hers. "Here feast your eyes sexy mama." Natalie's eyes go wide when she sees the pictures in which she looks definitely sexy and definitely not her. She can't even tell she is still in the same clothes that gave Ava a headache. She didn't realise she could strike such poses either. "Please Ava, you can't seriously post these.." She says as she turns to her friend but she finds herself alone. She frowns wondering where Ava went but a notification on her phone grabs her attention.  Both her ** and f******k pages are already lighting up with  notifications about a photo she just posted. "Don't even think about deleting them otherwise I will unfriend you and I don't mean on our socials." Ava's warning in her voice note that comes after makes her laugh. It's always the same warning she gets every time and it's probably getting old but she knows Ava couldn't care less.  "Where are you?" She texts her and waits.  She goes to her ** profile and she must say she does look good in all of them. Not something she would do as Natalie but it's not embarrassing either. She decides to let them be to appease her self appointed social media manager. After all she doesn't care much for her social media life anyway. If it weren't for Ava her profiles would have stayed dormant ever since she was forced to create them. And speaking of her manager, Natalie tries to look for Ava again seeing that it's almost time for class but she seems to have disappeared without a trace. Even the text she sent her has got no reply yet. Natalie shrugs her shoulders and decides to leave without her as she checks her phone but when she takes one step she bumps into someone.  Am sorry." She apologises and moves out of their way but her next step has her bumping into someone again. "Oops sorry, she chuckles before moving away but again the same happens and it takes her a second to realise the person is blocking her on purpose.  "What the…." She looks up and all the words die down in her throat. Someone is towering over her making her feel insignificant. Someone who she thinks should not be able to breathe in the same air she does. Someone who should not be standing this close to her even if she were dying. "Brendan?…" her lips seem to part of their own accord and his name leaves her mouth in a gasp. His very beautiful almond shaped eyes locked on her makes her swallow loudly.  "Wait...did I just think his eyes are beautiful?" She mentally slaps herself and blinks several times to get herself out of her daze which proves very difficult when the handsome god of Blackwood high is in her personal space. "Get out of my way." She finally demands with arms folded, unwilling to bow to him like every girl around that literally worships the ground he walks on. But he just smirks and stays rooted on the spot. She rolls her eyes and decides to sidestep him to avoid any drama that she obviously has no time for, but the perv still blocks her way. She decides to go back the way she came, because clearly this guy wants to get on her nerves, but before she can walk away she is pulled back forcefully and she lands on a very muscular chest. His very manly scent swiftly filling her nostrils leaving her dazed. She tries to pull herself off of him but he just cups her cheeks and leans in. And before she realizes what is going on, his lips connect with hers. She panics and tries to move back but he holds her in place and when her mouth parts trying to say something he seizes the moment to deepen the kiss while pulling her closer to himself. Surprisingly Natalie feels her own lips moving in sync with his as everything fades. Her mind seems to have developed a life of its own as all she can think about are the sweet lips that are devouring hers right here right now.  "Miss Brown, Mr. Bachmann!" Someone clears their throat and that seems to break Natalie out of her spellbinding lip lock. She breaks away from Brendan in a swift motion and is already dying of embarrassment. She feels like she has been caught with her hand in the cookie jar. "It's not what you…" she begins to say, but she is cut off mid sentence. "If you are quite done, follow me to my office." Their principal's hard tone lets Natalie know she is in trouble. This wasn't supposed to happen. She turns to the person who just assaulted her lips. Her anger is evident on her face. "Oops!" Brendan smirks and she realizes that he just did it to make fun of her. Because who is she kidding to think there was any other reason the king of the elites would stoop to her level. Obviously she is way below his league to be kissed by him and for the first time she is aware of herself. The things that never really bothered her about herself before suddenly matter. Unconsciously she reaches for her hair to check if it's fine. And for a moment she wishes she had listened to Ava.  It takes a few more seconds before she realizes that they are still in the school hallway and the first thing she hears are whispers and sneers all around her and she wishes the ground could open up and swallow her. She really hates being the centre of anything and her eyes fall on the person who just dragged her into her most hated spotlight. His mocking smile makes her wish she had a dagger to scrape the stupid smile off of his perfect lips. Knowing that she is in trouble anyway she smirks before swinging her right hand and her fist lands right on his perfectly shaved jaw. Pain shoots up her arm but her satisfaction in giving him a taste of her fury makes her smile. It's not exactly a dagger, but she feels a little better. Her satisfaction is short lived though when the jerk comes back up with a smirk and licks the corner of his lips so seductively it makes her swallow nervously.  "Ahhhh!" She stomps her feet in anger before deciding to walk away from him. He is openly toying with her and whatever she does will just make everything worse. And before her entire school comes out to witness her embarrassment she disappears at the first turn she finds. She breathes a sigh of relief when she finds a familiar flight of stairs leading to the school's rooftop. She doesn't even hesitate before heading that way and flies up as if she were being chased.  The moment she closes the door to the rooftop behind her and makes sure she is all alone, her mask falls off. The more composed girl that even dared to throw a punch at her school's heartthrob a moment ago is replaced by one whose legs can't even hold her up anymore. She slumps to the floor feeling overwhelmed. The tears she didn't even know she was holding back suddenly fall.  This is not how it was supposed to be, it's not how she dreamed it would be. Her hand comes to her lips and she traces them lightly. Like everything else in her life, she knew when she wanted to be kissed too. And that was not supposed to be today and certainly not with the most insufferable, insensitive play boy she knows.
